Im impressed by the amount of information and the quality of it that is available in the free version However after reading the reviews I have added the upgrade and am enjoying the expanded content There is so much to explore In restaurants and wine shops in lively wine discussions with friends these are just a few of the situations where having Pocket Wine as a reference will be handy to have in my phone                 A Great App

To start with my JUST ONE THING It really annoys me that no one has noticed that the little lemon icon next to Crisp under the wine styles list is pixelated and needs to be corrected so that it is sharp like the rest of the icons so it looks nice on the retina display That being saidThis is a very nicely designed app Easy on the eyes and fingers and pretty educational My only disappointment was with the my taste feature I was hoping that it would be able to give me a list of specific wines to try based on my palette It gives you an idea of what style wines you should try but to someone new to wines that doesnt do much for them at all I was expecting something more like a short list of wines to choose from based on my taste with a percentage of how well I would like them or something of that nature Overall though I am satisfied with the app and will take it as something interesting to read It breaks down the wine terminology quite well and makes it all easy to understand              Well Done JUST ONE THING

This isnt your standard wine app It doesnt give bottle ratings and reveiws Instead it has tons of information on grapes including taste pairings history and other essential facts It also includes a feature to predict which styles and varietals youll enjoy And it all comes wrapped up an a clean easy to use interface This app is worth every dollar and even more if youre learning or want to discover new wines                 A must for any wine enthusiast

Great app nice variety could always add more varieties no rosé and I feel like some of the grapes get pigeonholed into a category I dont agree with Nero davola being in the big intense category for instance but a great app for quick inspiration Biggest thing missing though CHEESE PAIRINGS If Im bothering to consult an app for pairings I feel like the odds that cheese is involved is rather high so that feels like the biggest omission from an otherwise great app              Almost perfect

Something seems to be wrong with the new 20 version Lots of good new features but it crashes when I try to use them           20 crashes

This is my go to app anytime I cant remember how a varietal is generally supposed to be Decent selection and information Pairing suggestions could be better but not my primary usage varietal characteristics              Very Informative

What a great orientation to the world of wine Takes a lot of the mystery out of choosing and trying new wines One suggestion It would be helpful to include a way to see all of My Notes in one place under the My Taste section instead of having to go back and search for them individually for each type of wine                 Suggestion for My Taste

It only took me 5 minutes to decide to rate this app at 5 stars at this price The approach and organization are spot on I maintain a modest 60 bottle cellar in my 2 dual zone fridges and find the inventory apps more trouble than they are worth end up cracking open a new wine before adding it to cellar And I find I dont give a flip for the opinion of the others in the app community about a particular wine You buy it you drink it you like it or not and you buy it again or not Its that simple This app shows you other varietals to try depending on your general preference for wine This app is the dealan exploration toolwhat really matters                 This app really is a must

It took me a while to make my first wine related paid app purchase When I finally did purchase pocket wine I was not disappointed and the only drawbacks I saw were occasional crashes and the aesthetics After last update I have not crashed once and the layout and changes are phenomenal The content is more than I expected and the grapefood pairing areas are great The locations could use an interactive map or at least some visuals in future update I would definitely recommend this app for those either in the wine trade or are very interested in wine Only negative remark I have for last update is that the app is permanently on landscape for iPad                 Really solid app

This is a good app but could use some improvement I belong to several clubs and maintain a good cellar of international wines Frequently i csn find the correlation between the grapes and the wine because of the differences in labeling I would like more examples of wines from regions and countries rather than just grapes Other than that I like the app              Good Start
