I was so excited when I found this app Now I am slightly disappointed It has some very good features For instance I like being able to take pictures of my own fabric to use in the layouts I wish there was more versatility to the layouts It would be nice to be able to build a pattern from 1 block to however many you need for the size quilt you want Currently the smallest layout is 16 blocks It would also be nice to configure your own blocks by starting with a blank and dropping in squares or half squares 1 4 squares or flying geese etc Currently you have to choose from the blocks that are preloaded on the app A drag and drop feature would be awesome The upside is that it s inexpensive Not saying that it isn t a helpful tool Just wishing it was more versatile             Has potential Sheryl G, Des Moines

I ve used this app for a very long time and absolutely loved it until recently Within the last few months it s started either freezing up completely or going so slow that it s useless Please please update the app so it works better Also add some more in depth instructions on how to use it I figured it out eventually but it would so much easier if there were clear directions on how to do things Please fix the app I love it and want to keep using it             Great until recently Please fix mwooley1078

I am a novice looking for a useful planning tool This app is not versatile enough for me Although there are many block options they are not the ones I need Wasted 5 00 Wish I could get a refund     Disappointed JJ99311

I like making charm quilts but with it limiting you to 9x9 rows and columns this does make it more challenging The blank block makes it easy to use just on fabric and move things around to insert in a pattern here and there With the limit I spend more time futzing around with 4 patch and 9 patch and never quite get what I am looking for It is nice for adding in your own fabric but are again limited on cropping abilities             Simple but limited KitsaKat

Hi I appreciate your app I saw that you have given people an option to do a little bit of programming to add blocks to the ones that are already offered As good as your tutorial is I am not skilled enough to follow the programming explanations Any idea when you will have the ability to more simply add blocks I am particularly interested in half triangle blocks I would love to see you the option for adding half triangles and being able to rotate them The other thing that is exceedingly important to me is the ability to add borders of different sizes and perhaps more than one Could you please let me know when this might happen             With the following additions it would be five star IM42NET

I was a looking for an app that I could design my own quilts in using my pictures of fabric that I had already owned This is THE APP At first I was hesitant at the price but decided to take the plunge and I m glad I did The app allows you to create a quilt using pictures of fabric that you either have or have screen shots of through you camera You collect your fabrics in the fabric part of the app and when you re ready to create a quilt you click on the quilt section and begin First you choose a quilt type then you add blocks and material You create the blocks using material in your material collection You can duplicate blocks rotate them flip them and so on I suggest duplicating blocks then manipulating them Then you go back to your quilt and add the blocks to the quilt You can change the numbers and rows of the blocks add up to two boarders add corner blocks and change the size of above things Once you are done with the quilt you can save it as a picture This allows you to see if the colors and designs work together There is a library of blocks with multiple options One of the downsides of the app is that you don t have measurements that end up telling you how much material you will need But I have other apps that will do that for me so I use them in combination with this app Additionally you can t create your own block and save it to the block library But this is mitigated by the fact that there are so many blocks to choose from that you can still experiment and make unique quilts I absolutely love this app and it s one of the few apps that I have bought that I thought was worth the price I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a quilter                     Nearly perfect SSH87

I m new at quilting and I love it I feel much more confident now that I can see how it will look using this app I agree with others who have said the block selection is rather limited and I also wish there was a way to design blocks of your own However if this keeps me from wasting a yard of nice fabric then it s paid for itself I m glad I bought it                 Very helpful MrJackWagon

5 seemed like a lot to spend for this app and sadly it was I could have lived with its distinctly beta version lack of sophistication if it had performed for me The designers have not responded to my request for help I would have fared better just using instacollage     Save your 5 Gobaby12

While this app has many quilt designs it s lacking in so many more Several of the designs it has it has in different variations but is then missing some of the classic designs such as the irish chain For the price that I got the app for I was hoping for more but was sadly disappointed         Not impressed :DeAnna :D

I had a CD rom of Quilt Wizard and I used it all the time I d design my quilt on the wall and then it would give me the amount of fabric needed for everything and I had more selections of fabrics plain prints large and small batiks and light med dark of just about all of it I could save adjust the size and do everything but he sewing And there was always help So far I m not finding help and am not able to do any of the things on the previous one I thought this would be handy to take to quilt shops with me to do some planning right in the store Will go back to my CD rom Not worth it for me     Not happy Fiona Roisin

This is the ONLY app that allows me to experiment with color and design for my crochet granny square based afghans It s well thought out I can add yarn color swatches I am waiting with baited breath for the block designer Then I d be all set I am too inexperienced with programming to take advantage of the concise instructions about programming my own blocks on the website But if you can program the instructions are all there                     One of a kind Biojenic

It is really nice to see which fabrics look good together BUT there is a very limited number of block patterns to choose from no measurements provided and you can t create a block pattern if one isn t already made The app looks cool but it isn t very useful at ALL to me wish I hadn t spent the money to get it honestly         Pretty but not great Dogsoul

When I first began thinking about quilting I was steered down the path of buying fabric or as the initiated know creating a stash So I had all this fabric but no idea how to put patterns and colors together I came across this app and it changed things forever I could take pictures of the fabric I had bought and lay it out in different block patterns I was suddenly making quilts without having to sew anything I would take my iPad or iPhone with me when shopping and never repurchased the same fabric because I had my library of images with me For those of us with less than an intuitive sense of what went well together it was a godsend I could design to my heart s content and all before before cutting into any of my fabric It gave me a great deal of confidence in my ability to choose fabrics and blocks I could send my designs to a quilting cousin for critique and my husband was always surprised that I was making several quilts a day until I told him about the app The developer was also responsive to my questions and suggestions about its use For the beginner or seasoned quilter this app will inspire you and give you confidence something most of us newbies suddenly lose when confronted with the gorgeous quilts people are able to make                 This is a great design tool Sarah Southwick

This app works really well to get an over view of how a quilt might look when finished I would love to see a calculation part to this app so that I can say how large I want the end block to be and it would tell me how big to cut the pieces with seam allowance added                 Good for overview Fatfatcat21

I was skeptical purchasing this app However I was not disappointed I was able to easily upload my own photos to use as swatches and configure by layout exactly as I wanted This isn t a calculation tool it is a DESIGN tool that gives hundreds of options For instance I am building a disappearing nine although there is a nines there isn t every variation of nines However the way you are able to fill each shape with your fabrics I easily used another template block to simulate the directions I wanted to disappear my nines You can create many blocks to use in the same quilt and create multiple quilts I just love it For those not familiar utilizing a design utility there will be a slight learning curve for the app and how it works I am rather proficient with design software and found it easy and surprisingly feature rich I just love it Improvements Give a binding option utility allow fabric categories naming convention for custom imported fabric swatches and perhaps freestyle piece shapes in the rare circumstance that anyone would need it there are a gazillion block templates                     Oh Sew Many Options GoodTaste

I wanted an app that would allow me to plan a quilt of 6 blocks this app only allows up to 9 squares so only 54x54 Hopefully this can be fixed in a future update         Not what I needed Nh mom 2011

I would like to delete fabrics that I uploaded from the fabric selection I would like to choose where the added row goes For example I needed to add two more rows one at the top and one at the bottom Instead it only let me add at the bottom and I had no way to move it to the top not how to move the entire quilt design down a row without having to completely start over             Needs some work Graceruth01

I love this app Take the time to learn it it isn t hard I love being able to see my quilt laid out before I buy or cut Fabrics Just take a picture use it remember to enlarge it with the plus that is at top of box if you wish it changes the look of blocks in the quilt if you don t It may look like a four square if you keep it small I learned this a little to late but fixed it simple I do wish it had the app Block Fabs features also                     Love it Vantago

We grabbed this app to help out with a quilt project Our pattern had 2 blocks alternated and we wanted to play with the colors and see the result laid out as a quilt Both blocks were included in the app and the built in fabric selections were close enough to what we wanted to use We had our quilt mocked up in a matter of minutes Now we can adjust colors and pick the arrangement we like the best before cutting a single piece Thanks                 It works ExPalmNewton

I have this app on both iPhone and iPad 1 Very disappointed that fabric libraries don t sync Yes photos are in the photo stream but importing doesn t save info I want like fabric name etc 2 Also I will have a lot of fabric photos but no way to organize them by color name etc 3 I want to be able to design my own blocks         Disappointed Have to duplicate everything on 2 devices morgang48

I am only a novice quilter but I have found this app to be useful and fun I love having the ability to photograph my fabrics and use them in the app to create my design It really helps to visualize the end product If the developers are listening Would love to have a freeform design option to create my own patterns on a grid as I don t always use traditional block patterns                     Clever and Fun CatAK

There are a lot of great tools this app provides for example its very handy to have a photo library of your fabrics My favorite is getting the end result image of the quilt you want to create I m not good at visualizing the end product and being able to get that picture is fantastic One area I think could use improvement is the block sizing options While there is an impressive library of block designs to choose from you are limited to using squares I prefer to quilt using rectangles bricks stacked coins Hopefully this will be provided in an update to the app someday C             Great app but ChristineMP

This app does almost everything I want it to do Taking pictures of fabrics works great The whole app is easy user friendly I would REALLY like it to have a few additional features to make it more flexible in designing my own blocks the 4x4 etc triangle blocks are great but I would like to see them up to 18x18 which would give me a 9x9 grid to work with Just some grids would be nice maybe up to 12x12 I would also like to see the rows and columns go down to 1 That way I can make a 1 block quilt 4 block quilt or a table runner It would also be nice to have my own block library so I don t have to re create a block when I want to use it in another quilt Thanks for a great app                 Works great Vlacw

I can barely pull myself away from this app It is so fun changing the colors in a block or flipping a block or throwing in a random color on the border to change the whole look of the quilt It is amazing to me how easy it is to snap pictures of fabrics in store or on line and import them into my app Allowing me to play some more It s fast it s fun it is super easy and will pay for itself with your first project The creation possibilities are endless I d like to thank my husband who encouraged me to write this my first review He says it helps the creators out so if you love it too Lets hear about it Sue Bradbury                     Time saving money saving and addicting Dodgerdan3001

I just downloaded this last night and played with it for an hour It does exactly what it says it does You can use the fabric swatches that come with the app or add your own with the camera You can create a note attached to each fabric swatch where you can record anything you want I was going to use it for putting in the amount of that fabric I have on hand I am just starting to get back into quilting after nearly a decade hiatus I have hundreds of fabrics that I always thought I would do something with but never have This app will let me not only imagine but view quilts I could make with those fabrics Once the fabric swatches are in the library you can build as many blocks as you want for a specific quilt Then go to the quilt and build the quilt It is restricted to building quilts from only two different block patterns one square and one diagonal but heck that is how most quilts are designed You can add sashes and borders and define the number of blocks per side The quilts are saved but I don t know how to save individual blocks I ve created The blocks are associated only with a specific quilt design It would be nice to be able to create a library of blocks in addition to the library of fabric swatches Will try to update this app when I ve played with it a bit more                     Very cool useful app for quilters Birdhop

Although I took a gamble in purchasing this program with no previous reviews I am so glad I did As a beginner with only a few quilts under my belt I struggle somewhat relative to design and color This program lays it out beautifully I am able to quickly and easily take pictures of my fabric and then use these pictures to decide if the contrast and or colors will work and are what I was hoping for on my finished quilt With the cost of material being what it is it is reassuring to see the layout before cutting into my fabric and wasting countless hours This program is easy to use and well worth the download price I m am happy to be the first to review this terrific program                     Quilt Wizard Gville66
