Recipe, Menu & Cooking Planner

Would give it zero stars if I had that option Crashes on iPad each time I try to open it 5 star idea but zero star app     Glitchy

After installing iOS 9 Pepperplate no longer works for me I loved this app and use it daily for the menu planning alone Ive stored all of my recipes in Pepperplate and hoping the developer will update this app to work with iOS 9 The last update was 122013 so worried this may not happen At least I can still see my recipes on my laptop but now wont be able to send the grocery list to my phone     No longer works

To me its just an okay appprefer Key Ingredient to this one        Its just okay

I have to log in on a desktop to add recipes The first three I added as a test kept giving me an error message about the site not being supported I dont even understand that one Have to delete and use the old fashioned Apple Notes     Too cumbersome

Ive been using it for a couple years now I have it on my Mac iPad iPhone and Nook I love being able to run to the store and having all my recipes with me I use the shopping list every time I go I would love to be able to organize my recipes a little better and I would also like to be able to sync the planner and shopping list on everything These are just minor things but would be nice This is a definite download if you dont already use it                 Love Pepperplate

The website is terrific and I cannot wait until the Facebook login gets fixed support was very helpful telling me that there will be a fix in the next update I will update my review then when I can use the app     Need an update

The shopping list needs some work And adding your own recipe is kinda confusing but hey its free              Very useful but

I love this app for managing my recipes meal plans for the week and grocery list I like the option of halving doubling and tripling the recipes I also really like the ease of sharing the recipes either through email or Facebook One thing I would like to be able to do is email the shopping list to my husband since I do the planning and he does the shopping Then it would be perfect              Love it but have one request

I really love Pepperplate the website The app Not so much I signed up with my Facebook account and have been saving my recipes through that login Now I have the app and it says Pepperplate needs approval in settings So I got to the settings approve Pepperplate and restart the app and it still gives me that error Every Single Time It is extremely irritating that it has been happening since I first downloaded the app months ago Please PLEASE fix I could really like to use this app I love the meal planning and the grocery list options but if this issue continues I will have to find a new app Thanks           Cant connect to facebook

Was working great before I upgrades to IOS 9 Hopefully they will fix the glitch     Doesnt work with iOS 9

I have been using the app for months I love how it allows me to link my iPhone iPad and computer After using for months now it will no longer work on my iPad Very frustrating        No longer works

I signed up via Facebook and the mobile app will not connect to my account I fixed my settings according to the directions and still I cant access my account via mobile So this is effectively useless for me     Facebook connection broken

I was looking for a lowfrills recipe manager for both my food and cocktails I wanted to be able to enter them on my desktop and see them on my iPhone iPad I wanted to keep the cost under 5 total I dont need grocery lists I have a favorite app for that already and dont require meal planning Pepperplate is precisely what I was searching for I love this app It syncs quickly and easily and I know that I have everything backed up I printed my test recipe from my iPhone and it was perfect The formatting of the recipe in the app and on the printout is easy to read and formatted to this OCD persons liking This is my new favorite app Thank you Pepperplate Inc                 Recipe Manager

I was impressed with the design and functionality of the website I figured the app would be the same The recipe import feature that is proudly displayed on the website is nowhere to be found in the app This is a strange inconsistency Im wondering how soon recipe import will be added to the app if ever           Inconsistent features

Ive been using this program for over a year now I use it almost every day and have had great success It imports recipes well I like the ability to sync between the iPad and the computer so that I can work either off my iPad or the computer and it will update itself automatically Seamless working program Definitely an app to have It imports from most websites and lets me edit every portion of the recipe                 Excellent app and computer recipe holder

I have an up to date iPhone 6 plus Have settingspepperplate set to on Even restarted phone App still wont let me log in with Facebook Would have been 4 or 5 stars otherwise But this is deal breaker     Cant log in with Facebook on iPhone 6

The is missing the major function of importing recipes from other web sites           Great on the web Lame app

I cant get it to work Sign in from Safari I can sign in using Facebook and the website recognizes me as Cory because I registered Sign in on iPad app There was a problem connecting to Facebook Sign in on iPhone app There was a problem connecting to Facebook I have switched this app on in Facebook Settings on the device as directed Very frustrating I cant use the app at all Emailed app support no response yet        Stuck

You have to import ALL your own content and 45 recipes I tried to import wouldnt display even though the sites were supported     Stinks

I really like this app because I can put my own recipes in it online and then create shopping list and menu plans But do not trust the timer and less you were going to leave that app as the main open app If you switch to another app even if you leave this one open the timer will not sound You can always use the timer in your device instead I keep forgetting about this and overcooking things              Great app but One thing to watch out for

The only thing missing from this app is the ability to view all recipes sorted by category You can select which categories to view but the process is not smooth and I dont like seeing all recipes at once unsorted Also cannot print shopping list              Great appjust one thing missing

Once the recipes are in its easy to use them for cooking I love the scale featureIm always forgetting to double ingredients when Im doubling a recipe but this does it for me Putting the recipes in from a phone or tablet however is irritating It is impossible to use the import feature because the app doesnt have it and if you log into the website on iOS you cant paste the url Sometimes I manually type it in but wow is that ever a stupid workaround Im amazed that it has been years and this still hasnt been fixed           Sleek but Oddly Lacking

Why cant I import a recipe from the app I dont get that seems like an easy fix The recurring items issue that would make the calendar usable is also an issue It is great that I can pull up a recipe on my phone at the grocery store email it to friends etc love that part very handy for inserting my owns notes and variations              a couple tweaks would make this fantastic

Love how its organized but it doesnt always work For example am trying to synch between what I did online to my phone and it will not synch so updates I made online do not show up one phone Or Im trying to categorize recipes online and it just wont let me out category in At times can be frustrating           Decent but buggy

Import recipe in the app This seems like a simple fix that people have been asking for since the app first came out but still hasnt been fixed     Basic fixes still havent been made

I used to love this app for planning meals still good I recently went to enter some recipes and I was shocked at there not being a nice streamlined way to enter Really How about a line item add with a box for count box for measurement box for item All they have is notes This is just nuts to me           needs work

I was excited to use this app after reading all the good reviews Downloaded and it refuses to connect with my Facebook which is a complete turn off to me I changed Facebook settings like the message tells me to rebooted my ipod and still unable to connect Please fix this or just remove this feature if you dont plan to make it work     Fix the bugs

Ive used too many apps where the users try to dictate how and what it should do This app is something I use daily and love Too many improvements suggested will make it complex and beyond the purpose of what this app is intended for I love it Leave it alone PLEASE                 Love it and leave it alone

I did a test of a few different Meal Planner type services PepperPlate Plan to Eat and Meal Board Im sticking with Pepperplate I wish it had a tad more bells and whistles which I liked from Meal Board the ability to emailprint the Meal Plan as well as the shopping list I know I can shareemailprint recipes but PP developers take it a step further please I hate walking around the grocery store with my phone in my hand looking at my list I am oldskool Plus it would be nice to be able to email it to my husband so he could run to the store And we could print the meal plan and put it on the fridge Recipe adding was a cinch both from the import and manual add I hope the developers continue to add supported sites to import Im glad there is a free form way to add items to the menu that are not recipes and the same goes for the grocery list I also appreciate the ability to edit the grocery listsome of the ways the shopping list combines ingredients are odd but I get it why it happens              Has potential to be awesome not yet

After installing iOS 9 this app does not work at all Deleted reinstalled restarted phone no change You get the main black screen with the logo and then it quits Now its worthless     Is not compatible with iOS 9

When I downloaded IOS9 to my Iphone Pepperplate does not work anymore It still works ok on the previous OS I deleted the App and reinstalled Still doesnt work        Wont work on IOS9

It was a great app until it started giving me problems with not being able to login with Facebook anymorePepperplate says make sure you have Pepperplate on under your Facebook settingswell its turned on Never been turned offSo why am I still getting an error message to turn it on sigh pure frustration        If only I could login via Facebook

I have a lovehate relationship with PP Its got great features and I use it almost daily On the downside you cant email shopping lists which is annoying unless you are the one who always does meal planning and shopping shared tasks in my home I always seem to have some challenges editing grocery lists as well For example we eat lots of garlic in our house If there are 4 recipes that call for garlic the app puts them on your shopping list like this 3 cloves garlic 1 clove garlic chopped 4 cloves garlic minced 2 cloves garlic I like to edit that as 1 head garlic because obviously you dont buy individual cloves so it streamlines my shopping list and gives me a more accurate count of how many items I actually will need to purchase useful to me for estimating grocery costs and how long it will take me to shop Anyway both the app and the desktop site are extremely frustrating You have to individually delete and edit each line one at a time save it and then go to the next line It literally cannot handle more than one operationedit at once Generally speaking both the app and site are super glitchy It wigs out freezes up and runs so slow sometimes that I wonder if weve transported back to 98 and dial up Internet Aggravation If theyd just fix those few things it would be utterly perfect           LoveHate

Love this have used it for a few years but when I last did software update from Apple it now crashes Please make it compatible I cant live without it              Update please

I use this app constantly There are so many things that are useful about it BUT since the iOS 8 update the crashes are driving me crazy Ive talked to the support folks who know that its a problem but there doesnt seem to be a push to issue an update to correct it It is so frustrating to be half way through prepping a recipe only to have the app shut down Sort of defeats the purpose I loaded it primarily because it would stay open during cook now Right now it should be called cook fast           Getting frustrated

I use this primarily to manage and share recipes It imports recipes from many of the big sites and has a reasonably easytouse editor to manually enter ones own recipes My biggest complaint is that development seems nearly dead on this app No updates since Dec 2013 No update for iOS 8 or iPhone 6 The speed at which new features get added is too slow Id rather pay for an app that gets updated regularly than a free app that appears orphaned           Decent app for managing recipes

I was looking for an app that could do multiple things and this is it I can manually add a family recipe I can upload a recipe from a website and then still edit it to my liking I can very easily share my recipes no matter where I am and it has several different print size options I havent used the meal planner or grocery list features but for storing referencing and sharing recipes this one is the bomb My only request is they add the upload by URL feature to the mobile versions                 Suits me perfectly

The online website works well though     Facebook integration isnt working in the app
