I really like this app it s a great way to keep a specific collection of apps files etc handy and I use it daily It would be nice to have a sort by option that allows the contents of folders to be sorted by name date added location etc Add that in and I ll gladly add a star                 Really useful utility would like one feature MediaJolt

I use Sidefolder dozens of times a day to quickly access my favorite folders with the flick of my wrist or mouse I love how you can drag and drop images and I love that I can get a quick preview of a file by simply selecting the file and hitting the space bar just as you can in the Finder When I had a small glitch I got immediatel feedback from the develper Best 5 I ve spent at the App Store in quite a while I highly recommended Sidefolders and its sister Sidewriter                     SideFolder Very Helpful and Handy just like Sidewriter Steven Goodheart

I downloaded this app and loved it right from the start however when I tried to add or subtract files from the box it didn t work very dissapointed I m hoping the creater of this app contacts me or puts something here for reference the webiste didn t really drill down for questions and problems         add subtract function not working WTanner

This is a great idea One easy to access organizational box for all your files no matter when or where you need them Need an obscure document buried in the deep recesses of Finder to upload to a website Find it in fewer clicks with SideFolders Frequently reference a few of your files and dislike interrupting your workflow to find and open them There s a spot for those too It s a lot like the Dock but way better suited for a larger number of files                 Simple Helpful Utility betafunction

I ve been using Slide Folders for a few days and I like that it allows me to open a folder in my user directory quickly rather than to have to open a drive or a folder on my desktop and then use the sidebar to get where I want to go So basically SlideFolders puts your Finder window sidebar in a place that s easier to get to That s nice I don t use anything but PLACES and sometimes RECENT which is an extra I can get to my DRIVES and SHARED directly from the desktop One thing I would really like to see that s why only 4 starts is that I d like to be able to add and item or folder without it then showing up in my Finder window sidebar Definitely worth 5 bucks though                 Easier than opening a window on the desktop to get somewhere else PaperCutPro

This app is just OK I already have Folderglance by Yellow Lemon Software which is a superior product but I thought I d give this a go just to check it out because the price is low and it looks interesting 1 It isn t nearly as customizable as I d like I d prefer if you could easily totally cutomize what folders and or applications show up there in the order that you want them to appear in 2 You have to click on a menu item to drill down whereas I would prefer a hover to open and drill into file hierarchies 3 The window is too darn wide it should be more malleable in that regard 4 It is fast which is great There is no hesitation unlike folderglance which can occasionally have a slight pause when you right click the custom menu open             OK not as good as FolderGlance Ron Reed

This program doesn t work right If you type any a key it recognizes it as a hot key that brings Side Folder out You can t erase the A as a hot key in the preferences pane If you double click on the files in this program it does not open the file If you use the command o shortcut it does not work either I am very disappointed with this program It sounded like a good program but it does not work correctly     Doesn t work tiredofapplesupport

The first truly awful piece of software I ve purchased from the Mac App Store This app froze on the screen within two minutes of installation and I can t get it to close plus it doesn t show up in Force Quit You can t add a file that s currently in your directory It s pretty clear the other reviewers are friends of the developer Right now Sidefolder is stuck in the open position and I can t get it to close so I ll probably have to restart my MacBook Pro which I rarely do Pure crap You could spend 5 on something a lot more useful like a cup of coffee Avoid     Crapware red.planet

This app looked interesting so I bought it At first I was like What s the point After using it for a bit it is nice to have my heavily used files quickly accessable with out cluttering up my dock or my desktop nor having to launch finder and browse to them Including all my documents and all my apps I have close to 500gb worth of stuff Thanks for writing this The only bug I notced is the downloads It is only showing 10 items yet I have 35 Items in my downloads folder I ended up hiding the default and dragging over the entire folder                     Great App revsjh

This app is okay however it is certainly lacking I would like to see the ability to explore my folders with the triangle I see next to the SideFolder s folders Also I am not able to customize the size of the SideFolder s window and it does not appear as it does in the picture here It is just one large rectangle stretching from the top of your screen to the bottom All in all an okay app             Okay app Aelous

I purchased this application last week and have had it break twice Rebooting the system does not necessarily fix the application     Don t bother purchasing this application todd friedman

SideFolders is an interesting and useful concept to help me reach my drives folders and files in a non intrusive way I just move my cursor to the left or you can do right if you like and a smooth sliding window brings out all the links folders drives I need Besides the great product the developer is really responsive I sent him a question he not only replied very fast but he actively looked for the best solution to what I needed 1Password Hazel Cinch Alfred Default Folder X TidyUp SyncTwoFolders and now SideFolders are some of my favorite utilities that I would recommend                     Smooth Elegant and Very Useful klawhi
