Sono Flex Lite

The Sono Flex Lite is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at a hefty 155 MB, so make sure you have plenty of free space on your iOS device. The new Sono Flex Lite app version 1.0.5 has been updated on 2014-11-27. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. We have a Tobii C 8 that s windows based and has the full sonoflex program This Apple iOS app is a blessing and is simply awesome Why Because now we can take a 100 iPod touch to the park to use and not carry around the large PC unit that costs 5000 The software on the iOS is almost identical and works great It is completely customizable and you can add text words and pictures easy It s fast and has never crashed or locked up once Several other competitive apps are a ridiculous non affordable prices and there slow and they have that generic feel and are missing many features So overall were very happy with this and it s a true blessing for people with apraxia who cannot speak on there own Thanks Tobii and please keep up the updates There s a few minor tweeks it still needs like password protecting the editing Automatically switching to portrait from landscape view Use the camera inside the app etc Ps hey blue eyes Please redo your review just because you don t know how to edit the software and customize it to be more adult like isn t fair you trash this app                     The best AAC software at an affordable price ckhawk69

As an SLP working in the schools with limited funds I like this app I have recommended the full version to families after we have tried it in speech I would recommend a couple of things the write phrases and quick phrases are redundant It s the same button with the same options There are only 28 buttons on main page Please give us the option of adding something else of more use Also when making context pages I would like the option to choose where to put the icon rather than it falling in line I understand the Fitzgerald system but I would like the option to put it where I need it                 SMS suggestions School-based SLP in GA

As an SLP this app is amazing similar organization to Word Power I can t believe the lite version is free I like it better than Proloquo2go for higher level communicators who need sentence structure Only thing on the free version there is not capability for syntax adding plurals verb tense etc                     Awesome AAC emeraldgrace

This is the best symbol based communication app I have used And it is only a demo It is much easier to use that the other apps I have seen You can even take a photo with the Ipad2 or Iphone and use it on the page How s that for cool Too many other apps seem to be written by people that do not understand language Not Sono Flex It has a core vocabulary AND also a context vocabulary approach all in one app The Tobii people have done another great and innovative job It is a great way to get an idea of how the full app works without having to buy it first It does not have all the functions of the full version but after all it s FREE                     Sono flex is awesome AT -OT

My fellow AT Coordinator and I like the Sono Flex product but we are a little frustrated that the buttons for the younger user cannot be easily modified for a teen or young adult users I am also with some of the other reviewers who would like to hear the audio output for the words selected Sometimes our users accidentally hit the wrong picture symbol and that audio information would allow them to correct their mistake a little quicker It is a good product but does need some adjustments                 AT Coordinator speechtchrpk

I have been using Sonoflex Lite with a couple of students and it is a nice app overall I like the Context buttons but would like the option to lock the large Context button at the top It would also be better if it were possible to swap and hide buttons These features may be available in the full version Overall it appears to be a nice robust app I love that so many features and vocabulary are available on the Lite version It really helps in decision making for such an expensive and important purchase                 Fantastic Trial Version jilliebslp

First off you have to figure out how to make it speak tapping in the white area doesn t always work The voices are horrendous the kids voices was a good thought but it doesn t work The layers to get to options is confusing a real SLP A or anyone involved in speech and language would know this There is no option to make the items bigger they are way to small on this program Overall they need to go back to the drawing board         Confusing difficult Riverreviewer

I don t like tobii as a company They have no language organization or strategy and are here to make a buck People have no idea about language and just jump on any wagon tht has something new Do some research people     Tobii AAC user

Tons of great things about this app Organized well Fairly easy to use A few requests One would be word predicition Secondly I would like to have the option to be able to have the word stated as soon as the icon is pressed rather than having to build the sentence and then push the message bar It is to many steps for my 8 year old daughter to do Also she needs the immediate feedback of the sound of the word she has just picked to be more accurate in her communication Finally make a password that is required before changes are able to be made to the screen It is to easy for her to get in to the modify content areas which means i am constantly having to watch when she uses it                 Parent TeresaJil
