Took way too long for the update to support the 4 displays on the newer devices Regardless its finally here I honestly thought it was never coming Soulcalibur could use an update for more modes and game center multiplayer Then it would be 5 stars I doubt that will ever happen so at least come out with another update to support iOS 7 mfi controller support Then it would be 4 stars Controller support would make this so much better
Very fun game Love It
This port is so ridiculously fun The controls are well done and I can almost play this game as good as I can on dreamcast The only downside to that is that button combos not preassigned to a button are impossible and you can only have 2 But I forgive it because this is literally the only game I play on my phone Only bugs are that if you play for a long period of time the voices disappear Other than that I wish they brought the gallery and the other modes to make it feel more like the original release As it stands its an exceptional port of one of my favorite fighting games and I wish so badly that more people would see that as this app is extremely underrated for its quality and replayability Its definitely worth the purchase My favorite app
Great game Full screen on iPhone 6 plus is a big plus I used to play this game on my Sega Dreamcast way back So for those that read the does not work on iOS 8 I am telling you it does I am running iOS 84 on iPhone 6 plus with no lag no problems May developers should update that so ppl would buy instead of passing iPhone 6 plus
iOS7 has official controller support and for years iCade has offered perfect arcade controllers that attach to the iOS device like simple Bluetooth keyboards Every time this app gets updated controller support is the only thing I want to see and I will be forever disappointed until its there Ill keep watching but Ive given up all hope and respect for you people The lack of controller support is unforgivable
It is a great opportunity for fans of Soul Calibur to be able play the first one the graphics are great and the controls are decent enough However the game does not pose enough true fun or content to justify a beefy 15 price Not Satisfying Enough

I forgot how great this iOS port was until I played it today after sometime on my iPad Air 2 It begs the question why havent there been more ports like this for iOS in general i suspect lawyers and licensing stop it all from happening anyways looks and runs even better than I remember it on Dreamcast and while yeah touch controls take some geting used to I found them more accurate after a bit due to the directional being so clear If you like fighting games this is all you need for iOS Its been out for ages as well Ive had no issues under current version of iOS 8 Still easily best fighting game for iOS
This is the EXACT version from Dreamcast EXACT I purchased this because my Dreamcast stopped working after 20 years I have zero regrets about the purchase Exact game
The description for the game says that it doesnt support iOS 8 but I didnt see that until after I purchased the game I have been playing for a couple of days now without any issues Perhaps there are problems if you try to play something other than a basic game but it works well for me and looks really good If only Samurai Shodown played this well Playing on my iPhone 6 plus

Admittedly I liked Soul Calibur 2 a lot more than the original Still its my favorite fighting series But its a bit hard to do combos with the touch screen A swipe to press two buttons feature would work Controller support is DEFINITELY needed But as the controls are now Ive officially become a button masher And thats not how I play Soul Calibur Also no update since 2012 not even for the iPhone 5 or iOS 7 Controls are a bit difficult especially on iPhone 5

Played the game has the same controller variety as console Tekken which I love but double button moves just dont work unless your hand is claw trex finger or flat on a table formation maybe an extra 3 buttons for doubles ABBKAK bc I dont see you reinventing the command list Love Namco Hate IOS BUTCHERING

To answer all the questions about unlocking characters like with all the other games you have to beat the game once with each character playable to unlock another character I think for the last 2 you have to beat the game in hat mode or play a certain number of a certain match type Great graphics for a great game keeping true to the older final fantasy games Great game
