This is one of two Space Shuttle simulators I ve found in the App Store the other is called F Sim I keep wishing there was a way to combine the two What s great about this one is the variety of scenarios that can be played not only can you glide the final approach to Edwards AFB or try a full approach you can even attempt re entry dock with the ISS 6 degrees of control definitely tricky or even fly the automated launch sequence all the way up to MECO and tank separation For all of these ways to play the simulator I feel pretty generous giving it three stars That s because the app hasn t been updated in almost three years at this writing and it has not aged well The graphics don t even take advantage of Retina resolution Contrast with the sharpness fluidity and realism of F Sim and it looks fairly hokey If only there were a way to combine both simulators have the variety of Space Shuttle with the realism of F Sim I would be totally thrilled             Fun to play but terrible to look at discHead

Managed not to crash for an entire twenty four hours I haven t been able to get it to work again I may just need to delete and reinstall The graphics are pretty subpar considering what is available in other X Plane offerings The flaming fireball of death that results when you make a mistake is amusing though It could use better instructions Great concept whose execution doesn t quite live up to the possibilities         Crashes Def-star

I ll mark as five stars if you add the following 1 Add failures because not every launch is a success 2 Make the docking more understandable and less complicated 3 Make the final approach slightly harder maybe by making the airport farther away 4 Add weather problems that make the shuttle more real life EX add thunder and lightening to cause problems with the shuttle 5 Add parachute 6 Be able to take the shuttle off autopilot during takeoff because it would be nice to get a feel for what it s like to launch a space shuttle But add a tutorial or have some explanation as how to launch it 7 Make the time before launch changeable so that you can make it up to five minutes 8 Also make it possible to fly around space weather it s buy autopilot or manual mode It would be nice to fly to mars or Jupiter on autopilot All if this would be much appreciated by the buyers of this simulator including me If you can t add these features then lower the price because without these features it s not worth 4 99 I ll mark this five stars if the above features are added Thank you so much                 Great simulator ebeuq

Dear Laminar Research this app is a good start but could really use an app update Upon reading other comments there are clearly four great opportunities 1 Having manual control of take off 2 747 piggy mission and free flight 3 Hubble repair mission 4 Parachute and more landing locations There are a lot of negative comments and it s not motivating to you the developers but there are also devoted fans of space shuttle who have been waiting It is upsetting to see other x plane franchises getting updates while this one doesn t Please don t leave us hanging     Please update AuroralKilometricRadiation

I wish we had more manual control of like the separation and stuff and reentry needs to be a bit easier because the real space shuttle can be flown manually and auto                 Manual controll SHOESHINE!!!

I ve had this app for a while and am running it on the latest and greatest iOS software and firmware on my iPhone 3GS but am having some problems Here s what I ve found On liftoff it is impossible for me to view of the shuttle stack itself through any of the views What happened I have trouble with the landings because it seems like the final approach and flare are hard to control It could just be me but it seems like no matter what happens I can t control the sink rate enough and I crash land all the time Other than that it s a lot of fun I tried the full entry recently and it seems like the re entry is easier to control I d follow the alpha 40 schedule pretty religiously before and without doing a lot of S turns and getting off the compass bug I d overheat in no time I think it s a lot of fun so please keep improving it                 Great app but some found some problems Zerex71

I think this is a great space shuttle simulation The menus are easy to navigate at top of screen so you can choose different missions It is very realistic so if you get the wrong angle on re entry you will burn up like a shooting star I think that the docking with the ISS is hard and could be made easier but it is realistic The full re entry is fun but you land in a desert which I think could be changed The full launch is really realistic                     Qwertyiop Hard to find a good nickname

I d like to list a few things Pros Realistic ignition starts on the mark Dock is great Shuttle burns up like it would if you don t do it correctly Many things to try Cons Landing should have a parachute There is no playback I d really like one on the landing The speed on the left in cockpit during launch doesn t match mph This app should be free during the STS 135 Atlantis mission But great job Laminar Research                 This app is amazing please read Felix Medina
