This is a spectacular app It would be nice if future versions had English translations of the text and if one could zoom in on every page to see the smaller illuminations But really how can one complain the whole Book Of Kells is on my iPad What a novel concept and how nice that they did it so well                     Wonderful scottpom

I am having trouble navigating back to the home page from a featured page virgin and angels I have tried pretty much everything from swiping to zooming to looking for a button but can t seem to figure it out Help Edit You can only navigate back to the home screen when the iPad is in landscape mode The app in general needs some tweaking in order to work better with the iPad s screen rotation 5 stars for content but 3 for execution                 Problems navigating gablork

I am impressed The iPad s resolution and color make this the best way to view the Book of Kells short of going to Ireland to see the real thing The app also some great features like indexed galleries of illuminated capitals listed by creature all letters in the shape of a horse or lizard etc and by letter of the alphabet all illuminated A s B s etc This is great for artists and calligraphers Well written scholarly notes on special pages are presented in a way that is not distracting My one gripe not all pages are zoomable But this is obviously a concession to reality if all were zoomable the app would take up an unacceptable amount of space Well done                     Astonishing beautiful and well designed Satisfied in Ohio
