2018 update While this game appears to be a good electronic representation of the board game the developers have a couple of shortcuts that make the game almost unplayable The dice algorithm used in battle is nowhere near realistic obviously a shortcut was taken in programming Since I ve been speaking out about it it s gotten worse Don t count on the dice averaging out Also the AI characters don t act with any intelligence often suiciding themselves This is the game that I played and enjoyed for years but got away from now on my iPad Great graphics and interface I took away one star because there is no online component UPDATE Now after adding the online play and working out the bugs the game plays well I don t understand the online scoring but that s probably on me I have run some analysis of the dice rolls during battle and the algorithm used shows some issues     This is My Titan AVguy0255

Used to play this game with the old Avalon Hill box game Those games would take 6 7 hours This app takes less than an hour although the AI isn t that smart Very fun strategic options on two different levels board play and battle                     Best game out there SkipWeber

I ve loved this game for well over 20 years Really excited to have this digital version for the iPad The only thing that needs a little tweaking is the battle algorithm and the movement algorithm The results for both of those can be a little skewed at times and not representative of actual results rolled on actual dice which changes the strategy and tactics of this version of the game versus the table top version Other than that this game is very very addictive Kudos to the developer for all the work in making this game feel and play like the original The most recent enhancements have added a great deal of convenience note taking for stack compositions for example Keep up the great work and fix those algorithms                     Overall a great game needs just a few more tweaks MrMystery

Remarkably accurate port of a wonderful game but the weak AI and questionable dice rolls make it very frustrating The enemy titans are very aggressive and will often attack with little regard for future strategy They will also lead the charge even when they have an obvious advantage leading to cheap victories that aren t very satisfying This is offset by dice rolls that are obviously weighted in the AI s favor three Gorgons attack an Angel and get 0 hits really I could forgive the enemy advantage if it happened less often but when they are constantly attacking at every opportunity and hitting far more often than chance should allow it s hard to ignore I have yet to try multiplayer but if you re hoping for a good single player challenge you might want to hold off             Goregyle Goregyle

The developers could not have done a better job with this port of one of the best board games ever created If you played tabletop Titan you ll be delighted with this app If you never played it there is an exhaustive version of The Law of Titan included and it s well worth the effort to learn the game The online play works flawlessly and lets you smoothly fit several simultaneous games to your schedule you ll play with a friendly community of user names that will soon become familiar and the Elo rating system is way cool Customer support was great too the one time that I had a glitch They nailed this app in every way possible and the long term enjoyment is worth several times what they re charging for it                     Outstanding in every way JeffFLG

Titan is a marvelous game Anyone who is a fan of the board game will enjoy this game The developers did a great job porting the board game to the iPad the game has all of the playability and features of the board game however without the nuisances faster setup moving pieces is easier faster rolls etc My only warning to new players is that Titan is not an obvious game to learn how to play The App is not designed to walk you thru how to play The app does include the complete Titan instruction manual so if you are a new player you will need to read the entire manual or else little in the game will make sense One surprising feature of the game is how good the AI is Playing against the computer is reasonably challenging And unlike a lot of games out there the developers did not make the AI difficult by allowing it to cheat instead they coded the AI to be a reasonably intelligent player at least when you play against the hardest level I do not have anything negative to say about the game but i would like to provide a few pieces of feedback to the developers to improve an already fantastic game On Functionality I like the pre battle screen which lays out the units involved with each side I am frustrated when this screen is not displayed for mandatory battles such as opposing angels The pre battle screen helps me think about my objectives for the upcoming battle Please include the pre battle screen for all battles even mandatory ones When playing against multiple computer opponents sometimes i get bored watching them battle against each other Perhaps have a mechanism to allow me to skip watching battles i am not involved in Similarly in multi AI games if i die early i would like to be able to see the statistics on my dice rolls for that game without having to watch the computer finish the game On AI As i said the AI is remarkable good for this game A few minors adjustments that i would like you to consider correcting These are things i have noticed playing on the highest AI level The AI has a bad habit of placing the titan in a bad spot on the screen particularly in Brush and Jungle battles The titan often goes into the back corner and sits in brush which is a horrible strategy I suggest biasing the titan to a non brush tile Tower defenses by the computer especially when the Titan is involved are poorly done The enemy titan starts in the center of the tower but then often runs to the back corner Allowing the attacker to climb the tower and fire down onto the opposing titan Consider changing the AI for tower battles so that the Titan stays in the center of the tower Sometimes the enemy Titan does not do well against range strikers sometimes just sitting there until a warlock finally takes him down Try to increase aggressiveness of the Titan against warlocks Sometimes when the computer has a battle against another AI player the two sides each get stuck neither moving and several turns pass until there is a draw Consider putting a test in there to force the attacker to move if two turns pass with nothing happening                     Excellent Thinking Person s Game AnonymousInTucson

Played one game against AIs could not find a way to see contents of a legion while moving Seems like a double tap should do this Similarly a double tap on an enemy stack should show what has been revealed in it Would also like to be able to see more clearly what terrain a stack is on This comes free if you use the same pop up used during split and muster phases Not useful to get only my die rolling stats at end of game should allow for comparison with other s stats Are these features there but I haven t looked well enough             Good start needs more work though I think HughEverett

I regret having paid money for this game I am a big fan of the board game and when I saw this game for the iPad I jumped on it Unfortunately the gameplay is ridiculous This game like so many others depends upon rolling the dice for everything And that part of the game is absurdly biased against the player My winning percentage is only about 25 because no matter what I do the computer never rolls the dice randomly They ALWAYS favor the AI Whether its for combat or even just movement the dice rolling is stupid When I roll the dice it seems random but when the computer rolls the dice it always works out perfectly The computer always recruits the most and best monsters The computer monsters always beat the crap out of you in battle I like the board game But this iPad game is a complete waste Unless you enjoy losing     This game needs serious work Melted Yeti

I will continue to rate this game 3 stars until this reasonable request is met Despite my hopes through two plus years of playing this game the developer has never completed any improvements to the terrible single player AI Even the simplest of changes to the AI algorithms would make the game significantly more enjoyable in single player Changes such as preventing the Titan from committing suicide making the tower citadel actually any wall top a critical hex to defend keeping only the strongest units in a Titan army when it splits no more late game centaur cyclops armies damnit and any number of other suggestions countless other users have recommended in these reviews                 AI needs work Natascot

I started playing the table top game Titan over 25 years ago I love it and is one of my all time favorite games I find this app only ok The AI is weak It is not uncommon to be attacked by a Titan stack and then have it do nothing and loss the game by having the turns run out in combat Though there are other issues with the AI that one is clearly the biggest It also has a clunky user interface making it hard to compare stacks since you can only look at one at a time I wish it had settings to speed things up in combats that I am not involved in like not having to hit the screen when they are done I guess the thing that I find the most frustrating is that the free PCgame colossus does all of these things better That said I have played the Titan app over 200 times so I think I got my money s worth I have not been able to play many online games since there is never anyone in the waiting room             Ok version of a great game Gurpser
