A transportation diagram that represents changes in service correctly.
It took a little bit of tapping around in the app to pick up on all of the features since there arent any labels or instructions but after that I realized the information the app conveys is extremely valuable The app is essentially a dynamic version of the ubiquitous MTA subway map While the MTA map posted in each subway car shows the basic layout of the system the route taken and stops made by each subway line can vary by time of day day of the week and in response to construction projects For example if its after midnight on a weekday the shuttle that runs between Times Sq and Grand Central disappears from the apps display since that line doesnt run overnight Right now the R train is temporarily not running between downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn and the app clearly shows a gap in that line You can tap on a station to show only those lines that stop at that station and hide all the others or even tap on a single line to display only that line on the map making it easy to see where that line runs and what stops it makes Overall a great app for figuring out how subway service in NYC varies by time and day of the week instead of trying to decipher those cryptic signs above the station platforms Great content
A graphically unique reimagining of the NY City subway system hampered by nonexistent instructionsexplanations on how to use it Other flaws include lack of location service why does it always start off in the same location in Manhattan and a color scheme for text that makes it difficult to read the subway stops There are also no user controls other than a time function Overall pretty but I dont know what Im looking at Pretty But Useless
