I liked the older version better Being able so sort my notes by character and chapter within a story This new setup is not as productive It s too much like just having notes in a notebook or word doc I ll try and figure out which notes are pertaining to which character and which chapter for the stories I have on hiatus and move them to google docs or something No point in having several apps that do the exact same thing taking up space on my mobile Don t get me wrong this might work for someone else but for me it s no different than having a word doc even with the tags                 Just not as good as it used to be CelticLotus

I m not a writer but a programmer that works on many side projects in my spare time and Transom is beautifully designed for quickly taking notes on the fly during your busy day and lightly organizing them This perfectly suits what I need as I often brainstorm and have new ideas and insights my a ha moments as I m on the train or standing in line at the drug store or on the couch and I need to take down those ideas onto something persistent and retrievable so I can pick back up on them later Transom has a streamlined design that perfectly accommodates how I like to work A real selling point of this app is how quickly you can take out your phone and save a thought and categorize it under a tag around which similar thoughts can be grouped for later recall If you are a creative person whose mind is always churning with ideas this is a great app for you                     Great app for creative people with constantly active minds ScifiJunkie456

I m having the exact same issue as everyone else I just used the app a couple of hours ago and I had no problems And now I just updated it and when it finished I tried to open the app but it would close in less than a second This update has me so worried I lost everything I wrote         What happened Co0l f0n+s f^n

I really liked this app but the new update has made it impossible to access         Conflicted The Only Ghost

I got excited when I saw the update description because it seemed to include many things that I had hoped for However the app crashes upon opening and I can t even get past the loading screen     Appears to be a great update but there s one problem WielderOfPens

Terrible update When I first downloaded it the app wouldn t even open and crashed every time on launch so I had to redownload Now I m just extremely disappointed as I wanted something that had a system that sorted Characters Places etc for me and that s been abruptly removed for no good reason     Do not recommend Deomada

Transom was suggested to me from a friend who uses it for organizing the novel he s working on He suggested that It would help to organize my thoughts and characters of the songs I write I didn t really think that it would help for my 2min punk assaults but alas I was wrong This is great for general organization of thoughts character development quickly adding details of places etc I definitely like it Some suggestions for future versions would be to add photos to places and perhaps pin them to a map as sometimes I miss the all the details of a place                     Great for song writing BarclayB

Pretty useless without an sync option or export other then that not bad but how about that update that will fix all this thats promised in the intro             Great App but CASSD57

I m very impressed with the streamlined nature of this app It s exactly what I need But there are a few things it lacks There is an absolute need for cloud syncing via some service integration like iCloud or Dropbox and a way to export Even just to an email at least A nice to have would be a way to group notes books so there isn t an endless scrolling through a huge list                 Very good but needs that extra touch Rusty Trombone 81

Please add an export option and an iCloud sync option I really want to sync this between my phone and my iTouch I love the app otherwise It s beautiful and minimal and that helps minimize distractions                 I love it but Percandri

As is this app is pretty good It s definitely streamlined rather than feature rich which I think is the better choice for this app it s a useful tool and there s no clutter or distraction I d have happily given it five stars if not for a couple things firstly there doesn t seem to be any menu linked to the Settings button and the Send Feedback link is broken I imagine these will be fixed in future updates And secondly there is one feature that I think a lot of people will need that seems to be lacking there s no way to add new categories of notes to a project and you re limited to having a page for a synopsis and then a category like a folder on a computer for characters places and chapters I need a couple more categories for this app to really be useful to me and I think most other writers would too Maybe this we supposed to be included in the Settings menu but like I said it s currently non functional I really wish the feedback feature worked so I could have let the dev know about the above issues and waited to review this app after some patches I m sure I d have given it five stars with these minor fixes                 Good app needs minor update to be great thelimemime
