This is a good app which does some things like lossless trim merge convert that can t be found in one app at this price However there are a few notes on this latest revision that have me scratching my head This is a major redesign renaming of the product It should not be hidden in a minor subversion release Cursor control is gone This means all trimming has to be done by click dragging the endpoints I used to be able to use left right arrows to control trim endpoints in gross and fine controls No more In fact holding buttons down with mouse key doesn t even repeat You have to click repeatedly to move through your video This seems like a step in the wrong direction There is a bug in fine adjustments that is infuriating When editing trim endpoints first adjust the left side then the right side moves to an aribitrary point If you adjust the right side first this does not happen Maddening Feature requests I have already communicated directly with the designer but none of my requests were implemented This is a fine editing and conversion engine and a simple interface which should be able to handle some of these 1 Variable cursor scrubbing control allow user specified increments from a few minutes down to a single frame for two different forward backward buttons left and cmd left right and cmd right so that the user can quickly get around the video at a rate that s best for them Optionally add scrub dial support 2 Batch mode Apple Script mode 3 Ability to read in cue files preferably in Comskip format and do trimming automatically 4 The ability to save a project and come back to it later Keep it up This is still the only app of its kind on the App Store                 Latest Revision Still Valuable PodSquadNYC

I bought this app to losslessly split a video created in iMovie and recorded at 25000 kb s 29 97 fps This product s maximum bitrate is 20 000 kb s Please note that even if that is enough throughput for you you must still turn off the Lossless Trim feature as this will give you even more lossy results 6000 kb s     Not Lossless NovaPyrographics

I tried and paid for several similar apps This one works best for quick trimming and splitting videos and is easy to use I like how you can add multiple in out points such as removing from the start the middle and the end and not have to end up with multiple parts that have to be joined later The ability to add a bunch of files with their own in out points or apply the same to all and then batch process is a timesaver The output files appear to be lossless and it saves faster then using QT and smartly preserves the original filenames appending numbers if there is a duplicate unlike QT which turns everthing into untitled as soon as you trim something I would like to see it use the system font have the ability to resize the window and not throw an error if I drop files directly on the icon rather then the apps file list Despite my minor complaints its a solid 5 star                     Works great nhaquer

Trying to use this to remove commercials lossless Hopefully a future update fixes the output to start and stop at the exact frames you requested I ended up with excess frames before and after even when using the fine adjust feature when marking at a solid black frame this became obvious A few more enhancements that would help Ability to specifiy the filename of the exported file The developer has used a directory selection dialog instead of a filename save dialog In my case it changed the file extension from m4v to mp4 and re used the same file name Sound while moving the playhead to avoid truncated sounds on a fade to black More keyboard shortcuts specifically for mark management I d rather see no Video Format Frame Rate and Bit Rate options when using lossless trim than a drop down control with only smart in the list Smart isn t the right term its same as source A better button for export It looks like an undo refresh button Thanks for the mouse over tool tip to help clarify the ambiguity Support complex trimming without intermediate exports and a merge Add a video by dragging into the application instead of forcing the use of the Add Videos button Fine Adjust is the default and the unit moved by the keyboard is in frames not time A selection indicator to let you know that keyboard left and right will either move the playhead the cut marker or both Hoping a future update works better for my purposes             Needs work ne1for23

All I was needing was a simple and quick way to trim large mp4 h 264 files and the feature set price balance of this one seemed to meet my demands I tried the Lite version and the 3 minute clip rendered remarkably quickly so I bit the bullet and purchased the full version Just tested a 1080x1960 mp4 video of just over 2 hours in length 10Mb s and kept the lossless button highlighted The file exported in about 9 minutes on my mid 2014 Macbook Pro 2 8 GHz Intel Core i7 The file size is the same as the original file I only trimmed off about 13 frames and the quality seems to be the same plus of course if it were re encoding the render time would be more like 2 3 hours so the lossless claim seems to be spot on My only gripe is the slight awkwardness of the interface but the same could be said about iMovie I was able to do trims and exports in about 1 2 minutes of clicking around though I imagine splitting and merging will take slightly longer to figure out Overall this suits my needs quite well A good purchase                     Works as promised Bluefish123

Here is what the develop should add 1 The screen can t be resized The app is one default size you can t drag an edge or corner to adjust it That means your ENTIRE video fits in a window the size of a deck of playing cards so if you have a very long video and it needs fine tuning good luck The playback bar for the whole video is 5 inches long so you d better be able to set markers at pixel level precision for a long video 2 It s hard to tell if what you select is the part you re going to delete or the part you re going to save 3 The button with the red minus sign doesn t delete vodeo like one would expect it deletes your markers When you select a length of video and choose Delete in the Edit menu it doesn t delete that video like you d expect it deletes the markers you ve placed What we need is a way to select a bit of video DELETE that segment and then move on This app wants you to set ALL the markers for the sections you want to keep and delete then export the entire thing at once Editing on the fly would be so much easier Give us a delete button that deletes the selected video not the markers for the video After all that s the entire point but it s not how you ve programmed your marker controls             It s okay but lacks a few features it needs Matthewokc

The interface seems to be very good but when you press the export it only create a video of 5 sec with pieces of the original video     It does NOT work Bernardo B
