I just found this app and am really impressed with it I have been using bit gym which is a paid subscription Virtual runner has many different choices of well done videos available to purchase The prices are very reasonable Even the most expensive video is less than one month on my bitgym subscription Customer service is incredible I was having trouble downloading my videos on one of my iPads and they emailed me back with a fix within an hour Downloads to a computer to load into iTunes is an incredibly slow process for some reason but downloading to my iPad is very quick Could be a problem on my end Overall I m very happy to have found this app and excited about adding new videos to my running library                     Awesome app and customer support harpangel36

I have tried several of the virtual trail apps and this one is the best The trails are reasonably priced and excellent quality It has a good speed control for walkers like me I highly recommend it                     Best of the lot Top mop

This product keeps getting better with each release More videos and races keep showing up too Its cutting edge evolving technology that keeps improving and its gotten very easy to use I like the new prices too Before i found this product i was not able to run more then 2 or 3 miles on a treadmill Now i can run long tempo sessions which is very helpful after getting clobbered with snow this year I also use wearable tech Makes the interaction very cool but manually adjusting speed works fine too Good job and keep building this out This is clearly the future and its fun to watch it develop Love it                     Very Cool SwimBikeRunUSA

This has been a great App for long distance treadmill training over the winter I really enjoy the quality of the videos and the road races The interface of the App is clunky and took a little time to figure out but once you create an account on Outside Interactive s website and register your iPad then the in App purchases work For those that complain about price you get what you pay for I d rather pay 20 or 30 for a professionally made video that is a great training TOOL than some ad ridden free mium App I hope that Outside Interactive posts a half marathon race course soon One of the short comings of the App is that if you let a 10K or 7 Mile course loop it won t accurately track your stats This App works great with the Wahoo ANT footpod and receiver which makes this App an even more powerful tool I am optimistic about this App evolving over time It has technical features for distance runners but the interface isn t entirely intuitive I think publishing a users manual would be useful in getting the App quickly and properly configured                 Great for distance training but clunky dowNNshift

This app looks WONDERFUL in its advertisement Be aware that they will ask for your email address and credit card instead of going through itunes for these additional advertised in app purchases After purchasing a few courses you are instructed to go to their web site where you are informed Access Denied Im now stuck reversing the charges on my credit card for courses ordered but not supplied I will also be stuck dealing with the Better Business Bureau Beware of ANY app that asks for your email address and credit card information Run away from this app Disregard any owners of this company that put a review after mine trying to sing the praises of the app If you insist on trying it and they still ask for your email address OR credit card information run away The ONLY thing an app needs for in app purchase is your itunes user ID and password to authorize the download and purchase     DO NOT PURCHASE KatherineRogers

I bought the National Mall run The app shows quick glimpses of the landmarks focusing the other 99 on the path you would be jogging on I want to stare at the White House Capitol Washington Monument Lincoln Memorial not a jogging path I won t buy any other courses if this is the norm A fantastic idea but a botched execution     Missed Opportunity Razorback9926

This app is just so amazing if you have to treadmill run Works w o the pace tracker equipment The runs are so beautiful I m having trouble not buying every video and find myself watching the videos for fun I really hope they keep adding more routes and add some 1 2 marathon distances I love this app buy it                     I m in love Eebrunning

This looked like an amazing app for when I use my elliptical machine I paid the 10 00 and then found out that nothing comes with it and everything is 7 99 or more which okay fine I bought one and it refuses to download I ve been trying for three days to download this run I currently prefer virtual active Same idea same price for landscapes but actually downloads and the app itself is free I ll give it more stars when I m actually able to download what I have paid for         Good idea horrible implementation iiiLover

This update is solid I wasn t sure I d like this app but wow I ran the free Great Barrier Reef demo first The video was stunning and the sound really made the run realistic It really motivated me in my run and I downloaded a couple of courses to train on Niagara Falls and Cadillac Mountain The views are amazing and keeps me motivated Great stuff                     Wow Christhelaxbro

The Good 1 It works 2 The videos are well shot The Bad 1 The application is so poorly designed that it must either be the developer s first attempt at writing an iOS app or else it was intended as a proof of concept and released way before it was ready 2 While the app can capture cadence and heart rate from ANT sensors it doesn t appear to save any data You can t look at your history and see what your average cadence was for a run or your average heart rate It goes without saying that there is no graphing of heart rate cadence for a run and there is no way to export captured data to a program that could analyze the data 3 The download mechanism is fragile and sometimes fails forcing you to start over you must leave the screen on at all times to during the download Downloads are large several gigabytes in some cases so having to start over is frustrating It also seems that if you change the orientation of the iPad while a download is in progress e g landscape to portrait mode the app will crash and you ll need to start the download over In other words cross you fingers and don t breath on the iPad until a download completes 4 The app shows a number in a badge on the home screen but there is no indication of what that number represents 5 You must watch a 10 second video every time you start the app 6 It looks like you could use Airplay to send the video to an AppleTV but I don t believe that the run metrics can then be displayed 7 There are more problems but you get the idea Conclusion If you d like to watch some well shot scenic videos while you re running if you don t mind dealing with a confusing primitive user interface and if you don t mind the cost 8 per video plus the cost of the app then you might like this app If you want a polished app that offers more such as the ability to save and analyze data that is captured and don t like testing unfinished software then you might want to wait I hope that this is not something thrown on the market just to make money and that the developer will quickly make free updates available to remedy the flaws and hopefully re work the user interface As I said it has potential We ll have to wait and see if that potential is realized             Has potential but codedwire

Excellent app for running indoors The videos at 1 6gb each is a bit bulky but very realistic Nothing comes with the initial app purchase and you can download a 1 mile demo course A track course would have been nice but at least the videos are reasonably priced at 7 99 each I bought 3 courses so far and while they are very enjoyable and I look forward to future courses I Purchased the wahoo receiver and garmin foot pod and everything works like a charm The virtual runner video speeds up or slows down to match my pace and I m able to record data on my garmin GPS at the same time In short Virtual Runner is a game changer I look forward to running right through the upcoming New England winter                     Great app for virtual running Mr-Bean
