The app works but service is awful I can t figure out how to contact them At the end of my 30 day trial I quickly entered my credit card clicked agree a couple times and then realized I had agreed to 500 in annual charges for a 6 person team I want to cancel immediately but there is no way to contact them that I can find I tried an on line question but they don t go through When I click the send button nothing happens I feel ripped off to the tune of 500 and I don t know what to do Very frustrated         No service JamesRRu

I like this app but there are a couple of things that could vastly improve it It would be great if the program didn t take up my entire screen I have a laptop and the smallest I can minize the main window is still Much Too Large It would be cool to have the notifications of a new message have volume setting because I can almost never hear them I thought I saw an update where you can see whether people are online or not but I haven t seen that function I love that I can have more than one account I like the design over all it s great but I really wish the issues above could be resolved             It s Pretty Decent z-ker

There are a lot of nice features in this secure messaging app many that competitors do not match so I really wanted to make this my default messaging app until I realized a big limitation to using on multiple devices i e mobile and computer the only way you can login or set up an account in the desktop app and sync it to the mobile app is to provide BOTH your email address AND your mobile phone number The mobile app requires a phone number and the desktop app allows you to start the login process with either email or phone but if you use phone you get a security code by SMS to proceed and then you MUST provide your email address and select a password The reason for that can only be to get more personal information         Nice features but poor score on SECURITY and PRIVACY marchetype

Wire works well as a Skype replacement and it has a few extra bells and whistles too I enjoy the macOS and iOS versions However there are a couple quirks with the macOS version Sometimes a chat window gets a bit laggy unresponsive when trying to scroll selecting a different chat and then going back to the initial chat seems to fix this The biggest annoyance for me is that there s no way to customize the window specifically the panel on the left that lists your chats contacts There should be a way to resize this panel especially to shrink it down to just icons because it takes up way too much space as it is You can do this on other chat apps e g Messages and Skype and I would love to be able to do this on Wire too Keep up the great work                 Solid chat app with lots of features burrrito

I am a Mac user that just about had it with Skype desperately looking for an alternative Wire seemed very similar so I gave it a shot Sadly this is not the solution The alert sounds are nice and high tech but way too gentle My peers had trouble realizing they have been texted Even the Ping is subtle The app should offer alternative alert sounds There is no prescence indicator This is VITAL for any messaging service as well as displaying when you are busy or on break Yes if you type it will replace it with the actual emoji but an emoji selector tool would be preferred I am a businessman and a leader of the sales team here and emojis are the pop culture of modern day communications A single image says more that a thousand words I am hoping to come back to Wire in the future It definitively has the potential I hope the development team keeps improving Cheers             It almost there but no Virtual_amadeus

The application works well and it s great that it s available across all the popular platforms However the GUI could use some work The user should be able to resize the right pane it simply takes up too much space A dark mode would be great as well as the ability to pick a custom font Making the GUI more compact would be great for use on smaller screens or when you need want to have few applications tiled on the screen at the same time                 Good but GUI could use a re design FrankNYC1971

There are a lot of competitors in this space Wire ticks all of the boxes for me E2E encryption Most competitors drop away here Messages appear on ALL your devices Another point many messaging systems fail Voice video text group communications smart text embedding maps images animated gif searches all of that rich text stuff Screen sharing although I haven t tried it yet Most Google offerings fail here and with Hangouts going the way it is there won t be any options from Google One account across all devices Tox fails here Low battery use on mobile Ring fails here And how Cross platform incl Linux It isn t perfect sometimes the icons don t render people show up multiple times audio can be iffy and some of the initial set up isn t super obvious it is common for people to register two accounts when setting up multiple devices rather than logging in with an existing account network changes can confuse it but most of the time it just works and most problems can be resolved by restarting the application                     Best messaging app available SeanERussell

Our team decided to try this app for our international team communications After 40 minutes I was completely unable to find any information to assist me in making Wire utilize my Blue Eyeball for input OR my UA Apollo for output despite confirming both input and output using the Sound preference pane and listening to audio from other applications I was able to get sound with the iPhone version but that isn t what we need         A Dearth of documentation and support Eric_SDCS

I am using wire on my phone and happy to see a solid desktop experience as well The current thing keeping it from being my goto messenger on desktop is the interface It needs to be able to get smaller to take up less real estate when I am using it in a more passive mode I would say it should get half as wide and a third less tall in terms of minimum size The file sharing will also be a big help Great tutorial vids activities and features otherwise                 some interface tweaks needed but great so far DigitalColeman

Frankly this app is amazing It is the best app on the app store and the best social media messaging app I use this with my classmates to do projects with the group audio call The app is elegant per my best friend Group chats are easy and work Another great feature is that this app is beautiful The UI is fantastic and is extremely intuitive But the most important thing is that the chat is encrypted There are not many encrypted chats that work on such a range of devices except for a few such as whatsapp Still these apps do not compare                     Probably the Best App on the App Store James Edward Taylor III

First it s just browser not a native app But the main reason I don t want to use it now is about 5 battery drain for two Wire apps total according Activity Monitor I think 5 is too much for any laptop For comparsion Viber eats about 0 2 There are some minor bugs like the app doesn t save window size after reopening             Battery consumption when app isn t using Il'genio

Feels quick At least for now Let s see how fast it is when they gather a large user base Although I find this rather hard as it doesn t do anything different than what tons of other apps services are already doing There s a disparity in the ways you sign up for an account On your phone you ll need to use your On the computer your asked to sign up with an email Design is minimalistic clean Viewing videos inside the app doesn t work as advertised I tried pasting a YouTube link and all you get is a preview that says it must be opened in your browser If and when viewing Youtube videos inside the app gets resolved it should also support Vimeo and other if any major video hosts No thumbnail previews for pasted URL s Skype has this feature and it s a must It adds instant visual clarity as to what the content is about You can t manage your contacts There s no way I can see to delete a contact It uses a lot of RAM More than Skype and other messengers No easy way to type Emojis You can from the menu but this is very impractical Emoji input should be besides the text input field Useless Ping feature This serves no purpose as far as I can tell It s actually annoying Emoji input should take precedence and replace this thing Although I have notifications enabled whithin my System Preferences they have yet to show up when I receive a message Notificaitons whithin the app are very very subtle They somehow need to be prominent ONE OF THE MOST GLARING OMISSIONS IS THAT YOU CAN T SENT ANY FILES OTHER THAN PHOTOS Because of this I ve dropped my rating to 2 stars whenever these issues omissions get resolved I ll happily revise my rating and review         It needs a lot of work sebasll

This is totally broken took me three restarts to be able to answer calls Random scroll bar on mavericks Very little options for customization Some more awesome features Option to enlarge someones face in bottom right of chat by clicking on their image My favorite Chat I could type in it eventually Voice you can talk to people People seem to be generous to what seems very much a beta where the only somewhat unique feature is the styling and the enlarge face feature There must be something I m missing maybe it is beautiful in windows But I m generous too so I give it 5 stars                     Best Thing Ever awsambama

This app for being the very first version is incredible I never even write reviews but I love this The design across all platforms is beautiful the chat works amazingly and the calls are clearer than Skype by far and are just as good as facetime but without the connection issues Love that it s end to end encrypted There are obviously things I want to see improved such as the ability to only have plaintext emoticons without those silly icons the ability to send files other than pictures and obviously a search function for the chat These I m sure will come in time What really blew me away was the trasnferring calls between clients It happened so easily I coudln t believe it This is something that skype facetime and many others do not do AT ALL nonetheless so seemlessly You would expect that facetime with handoff and continuity would but it doesn t making this even more competitive Overall I m hugely impressed I ve been trying unsuccessfully to dump skype for a long time now as they ve gone downhill fast I have definitely found my replacement for the time being                     Amazing new app Xander787
