The Witness Remote is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 2.1 MB to download. The new Witness Remote app version 2.1 has been updated on 2014-11-26. I have used Witness for a few ears now However something happened along the way that took this from a fantastic home and device security app to a malfunctioning and unstable waste of time Orbicule please fix it     Broken Needs repaired Used to be awesome Judged as Rejected

I ve been using this app for a few years and have been happy with it but just received an email from Orbicule that it won t be supporting either Yosemite or iOS8 So if you plan on upgrading to either of those this won t work for you Bummer they re abandoning Mac users             WARNING no Yosemite or iOS8 support dyeworks

I received an email from Orbicule saying Witness will no longer be updated because of Yosemite and iOS 8 They are giving owners a 20 discount on a camera monitoring system from another company Great Now instead of being able to use my computers built in camera I have to spend more money on extra hardware Thanks a lot Orbicule but I ll pass     Witness is being dropped Oct30Nut

I have tried many other security apps but this one takes the cake I can use my iPad iPod or web browser to turn it on and view the cameras I have very little issue with crashing I am not in the app for long periods of time I hope this gets integrated into HomeKit with iOS 8                     Pretty Nice Markosb

As others have noted the iOS app crashes 12 13 seconds after being launched I reported this problem with Orbicule support and got a response from Maxim De Wolf acknowledging the issue and saying they are working to resolve it Having paid for this service it is totally unacceptable for an issue to last this long I cannot recommend this product until the issue is resolved     App has not worked for months FCS Mac Technician

Several years ago began as a fine app Worked beautifully Wonderful interface simple to use Now is close to worthless Crashes 100 of the time Completely unreliable when you need it the most Don t understand why the developer doesn t update They had a good product once upon a time     Update this thing already Sadly Disappointed

i ordered witness remote and downloaded the app they send you an email stating they will send u instructions in an hour its been almost 24 hours and I ve sent at least a half dozen email to the support team with no response i would no recommend this company they do not want new customers they just want your money     Joe Rubino joeman6969

I run this on a Verizon iPhone 5 so I have little to no speed issues with LTE The best feature is how it arms and disarms using geofencing                     This is an awesome app adkim

Works as advertised but I have several gripes that I think could have been easily implemented First alerts are obviously important for this app but I don t need to be alerted when I leave the range of my own computer and it auto arms If I set it to arm when I leave and I leave I would think it s safe to assume the alarm is armed There should be an option to turn this alert off 2nd the auto on range is determined with GPS constantly and this destroys my battery life Could be done with Bluetooth or maybe WiFi and save my phone a ton of energy I will have to just remember to turn it on and off manually until this is possible         Awesome ish Funkbefgh

I have this on two of my macs and it works great No problems The other feature that I like is that I can remotely sees what is king on in the room when I am gone Alarm works every time It captures stills a movie and sound when triggered                     Works Great Bobkeenan

Server problems plague this app Cannot rely on it Unreliable alarm system is worse than no alarm system 3 computers set up to monitor room as test 2 with Witness one with SecuritySpy Person enters the room SecuritySpy flawlessly captures the stills and motion as long as the person is in the room Witness sometimes one Mac captures very rarely both capture sometimes neither The capture is delayed sometimes only capturing the person leaving Sometimes get white screen While SecuritySpy can show live video witness cannot Witness sometimes can capture a still but most of the time during the business hours it fails because it relies on the Orbicule servers which are apparently overloaded during that time Just the capture with Witness is somehow dependent upon Witness servers Frustration high security low Very unimpressed Would like money back     Waste of Money Wm.

This app provides security at least at par with a residential security service I added an additional camera using 32 ft of USB to guard a front door It needs to use the high speed USB and the company was very helpful w instructions I have been using for two weeks now and love the auto enable and disable which is a lot easier than arming an expensive home system                     Great B in mass

Im a college student and I live in an off campus apartment I suspected maintenance was periodically breaking in so I downloaded witness last week and got him on camera today from my Mac and got it instantly sent to my phone Got him arrested a few hours ago Cops thought this app was cool too haha                     Thank you Rrrraaaaaach

Witness does as it s described It is super easy to install on your computer and to sync with this iOS app What some people fail to realize is that it doesn t turn your iSight into a night vision security cam It does however still have room for improvement Here are some things I d like to see in an update Let me save pictures and videos directly to the photo roll You can email them to yourself now but give us more options Start a new 15 second clip if motion is still detected What if someone breaks in but doesn t go straight to the computer They might walk right in front of it during the delay to record again Make an option for sound activation with adjustable sensitivity levels Thanks for adding sound by the way I saw an earlier commenter request it This could be useful if the camera can t see the whole room or if it s too dark Make my iSight see in the dark Just kidding Please use common sense folks                 Great App So Far tegrapple

The Witness software that you must install on your Mac in order for this app to work just does not work at night unless you leave several lights on in the area to be monitored I even tested it in the dark but while using a flashlight and it still did not detect motion unless lights were left on It s just not worth it if i have to waste money leaving several lights on at night     Doesn t work if it s dark Garynat

I normally don t write reviews but felt the need to praise Orbicule for developing such an amazing app Obviously some people C K like to leave 1 star reviews and bash a product that they must not own and know nothing about I have the Witness software installed on my 27 iMac running OS X Lion at the house I also have the Witness Remote apps installed on my wife s iPhone 4S my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 Everything works perfectly on all devices My house was burglarized just before Christmas and I only wish I would have had it installed then But now I know the second anyone steps in front of my computer I can t wait to take advantage of the ability to add 3 more cameras to the system thanks to the new update Thanks again Orbicule                     Wonderful App Dmsdd45

At first I was happy with the concept of this But today changed my mind This morning I set my alarm on 2 macs I received an alert from one of them I tried to check it out on the iphone and could not log on I then tried to log online with a browser The website was unresponsive That was hours ago and I still cannot check anything out I even emailed support with no reply This situation just nullifies any credibility to this product Don t get me wrong I have been a customer of Orbicule for years But this is a serious issue I would at least expect that they place some info on their blog to say what is going on I normally would not resort to using a review site to get help but I ve found no other means     I good idea gone bad Traj

Absolutely worth the 38 Mac software cost We have an iMac and two iPhones Total solution works as advertised Push notifications of alarms are received at both iPhones within 2 5 seconds of motion being detected by the iMac s iSight cam Either iPhone can arm disarm the iMac remotely Transmitted mug shots are clear and video clip is just about the right length to be useful enough to make sure motion wasn t just a wandering cat jumping on the desk It s cheap peace of mind when you are away on holiday Note that the software requires your Mac to always be turned on and you ll need to use a UPS battery backup for your Mac wifi and cable ADSL modem otherwise an interruption to power for any of these will interfere with the alarm software and or its ability to send you push notifications We already run our iMac 24 7 so this was not a concern We also use Orbicule s Undercover antitheft app and are happy with it so far but haven t had a Mac stolen yet                     A smart burglar alarm LivingAnExaminedLife
