This app needs to begin with more basic situations and progress to the more complex Some of the situations and solutions could be misleading to the less experienced Should not ask two questions when expecting a single yes or no answer The English is sometimes awkward and there are typos Wind direction and drawings are sometimes not quite accurate If the designer consulted some of the better known rules experts this could be a wonderful app The concept and computer technical work is terrific but the rules and writing aspects need work Perfectionist
The content is good but it certainly isnt worth the 20 I spent on it 10 would be a much more reasonable price Overpriced
Recently during a major one design regatta I had an opportunity to really use One Tack Pro to our advantage The animation in one of the quizzes was precisely what we needed to illustrate what had happened to us at a mark rounding where we were protested It helped us to clearly illustrate to the judges what had happened When confronted with this the opposing yacht withdrew their protest during the hearing Brilliant Not only are the rules all right there as a reference the quiz section is great for touching up your knowledge and having fun with the crew during postponements If you race sailboats this is an indispensable tool for you to keep onboard or on your bag on shore Well worth the price given what some books on the yacht racing rules charge Love the animations Fantastic resource for racing sailors
Really the only app of its kind This will be an excellent source for occassional racers who want to enjoy a regatta without suffering the indignity of being on the wrong side of the rules For sailors who race frequently especially for onedesign sailors and for race committees this app is destined to become the bible both on the water and in the protest room The ease with which it allows the user to quickly and clearly understand the letter and intent of the rules will produce betterinformed sailors and will help to elevate the level of the sport The graphics are clear and easy to understand the animations great and the reference material simple and really valuable The new bible

An excellent reference work for the most committed racer and an easy learning device for the more casual one Im essentially a laid back cruiser but I never say no when invited to join a racing friends crew and I can get pretty worked up in the heat of a close race But Im stumped sometimes by what can seem counterintuitive racing rules I find YouTack handy getting a handle on those rules The diagrams are clear the quizzes are helpful learning exercises and the animated illustrations can help anyone understand the situations quickly This app is well suited to the iPhone being usable in most any lighting situation except full sun Sent from my iPhone Im learning

I tried this app out as a tester and was hooked Not only do the quizzes test your knowledge of the rules and enhance that knowledge in a way that you want to practice with different scenarios but it feels very lifelike So you keep trying different rules situations and learn while enjoying yourself The best way Great Racing Rules App
