Cool game Reminds me a kiddie version of FEAR3                 Unique

Well it seems cool but annoying It will become hard later on in the game to recognize all these patterns Also there is a glitch in tutorial were you swipe but nothing happens        Well its ok

I loved the first Version of this game Although I always felt there were areas that could use some improvement I got the second version and I must admit I am very disappointed So far the game has been very glitchy I draw a perfect symbol and the game glitches and half of my symbol doesnt show up and I get killed in the process In addition sometimes I could draw the perfect symbol 5xs in a row and it still kills me This is even more frustrating when you make it all the way to a higher wave and then it doesnt register your symbol drawn and you get killed and then have to start all over at wave 1 Also I feel like I am collecting more stars that it is registering Which feels like an infinity in order to get enough to purchase something in the store I would be more than happy to give it 5 stars if these issues were resolved        Disappointed

So much so that it just isnt fun Back to the original     Cash Grab

The gesture recognition is dreadful I really enjoyed the first darklings game and had been eagerly awaiting season two for a long long time Sadly Im extremely disappointed This game is a huge step in the wrong direction Seems like the devs spent all this time working on the appearance of the game and the basics fell to the wayside Many have mentioned the pay to win aspect and theyre right Unlocking levels costs a gem and levels lock every time you lose So so sad but I wont be playing this game anymore     Absolutely terrible

I would right something big like usual but Im just really disappointed Those that want to download please do and see for yourselves but those that value their iCloud storage should really avoid this trash        Disappointed

Game looks cool Has potential but very glitchy Instructions are vague and not very clear so you have to try to figure it out on your own Meanwhile it tells you to draw lines but you can do that repeatedly and nothing happens I gave it several tries and still cant get past the first phase Sad because looks like a neat game     Cant get past the practice part

I really like this game to where I purchased the special with the reaper free revive and 1200 crystals for 199 The thing is it froze on the menu and I had to close it When I restarted I clicked on get the special it said I already purchased it but still no gems And my card has been charged I would certainly like this fixed please Once it is Ill definitely give it a five star        Purchasing errors

First thing the 160MB download becomes 780MB after install Second when launched it opens to a screen with verifying connection at the bottom and a enter username at the top Tapping in the username area does not open keyboard entry and clicking on the check mark brings up enter a valid username Im on a 5c running iOS 813 Try againdont use the App Store for beta testing Get it right then release it     Great UpdateNOT

When I log on every time are my trophies supposed to constantly reset If so thats super annoying because I have to build up my rank again and again Also the game is very strict on the gesture because sometimes when a darkling is close I do the correct gesture and it wont go through and I die              Resetting trophies

There are a few things about S2 that I think are great the world selection and that theyre separated out individually the online battles although Im still not sure how that really works but its interesting the costumes But it feels like every possible freemium mechanic has been crammed into the game Between the energy system the earnings rate IAP costs of starsdiamonds compared to storerevive costs the costs of failing a level you lose badges the tick of energy you spent engaging the level the level resets to wave 1 and it apparently relocks other zones that were previously open which sometimes cost diamonds to reopen combined with the game play itself and that it can be very timesensitive yet is not totally reliable about recognizingaccepting a symbol altogether the mechanics just feel overly harshly punitive Im actually less inclined to make any purchases because it doesnt seem like its worth it and I believe Ill just end up feeling like I wasted money Im not totally positive if the areas are supposed to relock the game seems to be slightly confused about which zone is which for example when I select the Graveyard which was open for play initially it now is locked to me does not offer the option of paying to unlock it and tells me You havent unlocked Hills yet As some other reviews mentioned The first time I installed I got stuck in the tutorial at the point where I was supposed to make a combo it simply stopped recognizing symbols and I was unable to continue the pause button and ability to quit the level still worked but doing so apparently counted as a lossdeath I deleted and reinstalled after a couple attempts I was able to finish the tutorial but the game kept finding the other iCloud saves and asking me about them In the Forest once I had progressed far enough for Mia the flying Crawler to appear yeah it shows up in the earlier waves now and is just making life miserable The game seems especially prone to notrecognizing that particular symbol during waves and the speed and movement paths of the critter tend to leave no room for error if you have time to do anything at all often as not it makes for a situation of instafail and considering what happens when you fail a level its just frustrating Im halfway tempted to reinstall again and avoid progressing that far just to get rid of the thing The story line isnt terribly thoroughly explained and while the tutorial when you can complete it anyways covers some of the basics I think Id feel a little lost if I hadnt played the first game and seen most of the general game mechanics elsewhere And I still have questions like not being totally sure how the online teamsbattles work and what exactly counts as participation why zones are relocking and ifhow that can be avoided Im not sure what XP and leveling up does for you or what the benefits to the ranks Newbie Sergeant etc are at some point I went from 5 energy to 10 but Im not sure whyhowwherethatcamefrom if theres any significance to the leagueglobalteam ranks Ive unlocked the bonus level a couple times but am not sure how I got there all I know is that it doesnt automatically happen each time you defeat a boss the way it does in the first game Im still playing for now but am not sure how long the game will hold my interest as it is Hoping to see some tuningadjustments changes with the mechanics to make the game a little more forgiving and less pointlesslyfrustrating        Not as enjoyable as Id hoped

I never write reviews but I had to for this game Why didnt I find the first sequel of The Darklings long before This second version is so much fun and it is a challenge but also it has a spellbinding environment to it I just love these kinds of games I will definitely get the first one so I have the series Its a must have Keep them coming Devs and keep up the updates                 Fun Challenging Mesmerizing

The controls are very hard and barely explained     It is terrible

The original was the greatest game I have ever played on a mobile device The original had wonderful mechanics great visuals and was just plain fun I dont know whose idea at Mildnania it was to adopt the pay to win and pay to play marketing strategies but I miss the company who cared about its customers and fan base Please revert back to the postgreed version I have waited for this game ever since the day the original game came out     What happened to my favorite game

This game doesnt tell any controls I tried to play but the game didnt tell me how to do anythingBy spamming my screen I was able to get past the very first playable part of the tutorial     Impossible

This game looks really interesting and seems to have a good story but theres a bug Ive come across that wont let me play Every time I try to open the app it mysteriously crashes for no reason before it can fully open Ive tried to delete and reinstall it and all that stuff but it wont work Please fix this its a tad bit of a problem     Theres a bug

Unless youve played the first you really wont like this one The tutorial doesnt explain the rules of the game thoroughly and you cant even replay the tutorial Its not worth it     Terrible game

The first darklings was fun and simple I bought a iPad mini after playing it in my sons iPad but the tutorial on the second season is just long and obnoxious I just wanted to play a few games not read about a bunch of stuff that I will never care about doing it is a finger swiping game Delete     To much tutorial

The old Darklings had unlimited gameplay I understand that the freemium game model of having lives and coins allows them to make more money but gameplay should be improved first Since we already paid for Darklings One shouldnt they add some of the new updates to that as well This way they could convince those that liked this free game to also purchase the first one I dont see much plot development happening either The animations and music are nice at first but they become repetitive and fade into the background after a while        Its alright

I enjoy playing the game but there are a lot of crashes Also every time I join a team it takes my crystal but doesnt keep my on a team and my crystals get wasted Is there anyway to get these back              Great game Needs some fixing

I started playing and thought oh this is cool then it only showed me how to play once in a matter of 15 seconds so I never really learned how to play therefore I could not get any of the game accomplished     How to play

Ive really enjoyed this game and want to rate 5 stars but the game freezes up more often than not trophy rating resets every time you close the app cant log back into account after trying to fix bugs by reinstalling the app           Great potential but still seems unfinished

The game looks like itd be fun but I honestly dont know The brief tutorial is vaguely worded and any attempts Ive made to actually play the game with the one symbol it showed me has yielded no results at all There seems to be no help section anywhere in the game mechanics to try and learn how to actually play Unless you like spending your idle time doodling for 15 seconds before your Lum dies then waiting for energy to recharge so you can make another attempt do not pick this up if you are not already familiar with the game or its predecessor     Not for beginners

I enjoyed season 1 when it first came out and was excited for this one Unfortunately season 2 is a complete step down from 1 For some reason they decided to add dialogue which combined with the sometimes wonky English theyre from Turkey I think ruins the games noir atmosphere they had going on Its too silly for this game They made the areas separate with a capture the flag process as they put it But after finishing 1 area you have to spend crystals their premium currency to even unlock and play the next area This whole app has been redone to try to get people to spend money Theres too many things in the shop locked behind ludicrous amounts of crystal Theres no way anyone could reasonably grind up that amount of crystal so they expect us to pay for it And somehow their gesture recognition seems to be worse If youre going to add more complex symbols then make sure the recognition is up to par Otherwise it becomes much too frustrating in the new areas Basically they sacrificed the good things about this app to focus on monetization I wish they could go back to making good games for gameplay not making money        Disappointing
