iHearit: Slow Down, Loop and Transcribe Music

This app has a terrible user interface for touch For example you cant even start a song at the beginning because the beginning is too far to the left of the screen The A B selection for the loop is terrible because once you select it you cant move the markers only turn them off and on The tempo slider is way too senstive and the phrase algorithm used makes audio sound horribly choppy when slowed down at all On top of all that there are only 5 functions on the main screen 1 Go back to song selection exit the current song 2 A B loop selector on or off you cant enlarge or diminish the selection after it is selected 3 Return to normal speed triangle button 4 Sleep after 2 min or not 5 About button indicated by So only 2 out of 5 of the function buttons have anything to do with operating the transcription functions The other 3 bottons are just meaningless and dont deserve the highest prominence in the GUI That is just stupid and it seems like the developer paid no attention to how people would actually use the program Waste of money I wish I would have known about Capo before I bought this Way better app but also way more money     Worst GUI of any app Basically only does two things badly

The slowed down quality is so smooth best Ive heard yet Nice                 I love it

For what I need it for its okay Sound quality gets tossed out when you change the speed and the interface could be better but it works for what I need it for           Decent

This is a great app for any musician looking for a way to slow a song down and learn the correct notes It does exactly what it says it can do and does so easily Once I figured out how to convert my m4a audio files to mp3s thanks Trent I uploaded the songs I wanted to learn and iHearit worked flawlessly As a guitar player looking for a fast and convenient way to learn lead licks accurately iHearit is an excellent tool I look forward to future updates                 Finally able to hear all the notes and learn the licks

This applications works perfectly to help you learn your part or lick It is quite simple to load the songs The one challenge I had was trying to figure out the volume control after that was figured out everything worked like a charm I look forward to being able to accelerate my musical skills using iHearit                 Great learning tool

Very functional i just wish it wouldnt drain battery that much and a liitle interface improvements like graphics and a big playpause button would really help Keep updating and surely it will be on top of musicians apps              Great apps

Im using it to figure out blues guitar licks This app allows me to record the licks slow them down and then loop them as I play along You must be able to use your ear to match your playing to the recording It helps to know some scales Fantastic value performs flawlessly Five stars                 Excellent

I got this app to transcribe piano solos Its description says you can use it to make transcription easier and its headline says its for a bunch of stuff including transcribing music Now I think that just means you can use it to slow the music down when you transcribe Not what I was looking for at all and Im mad about the misleading advertising ugh     doesnt transcribe

At first I was a bit sckeptcal of buying this but then I realized its the best app Ive bought It makes transcribing so much easier and its really easy to set up I just hope the developer continues to update this useful app              Useful

If you are purchasing this application to speed up audiobooks then do not buy this application When sped up the audio becomes completely distorted and terrible so that you cant even understand it     Speed Up Problems

Actually pretty kick a for the A fraction of the price of comparable software programs Ive seen4050 Seems to work as advertised wifi sharing works well to with my laptop Nice one              Kind of a bargain

I am very happy with this app It allows me to transfer a song from my iTunes to the app where I can slow it down and learn the licks Im trying to get Going back over and over and over a section of song is intuituve and easy to do Even though it keeps the correct pitch at all speeds I find it works best to slow the song all the way down After I have learned what Im after Ill sped it up to tempo A great app for musicians it doesnt do the work for you but it helps you hear what may otherwise be going by too quick to catch                 Basic Helpful and Portable of course

I have never written a review before and I rarely purchase paid apps but this one is awesome and very much worth it I love having a little handheld device by my piano when Im trying to work out a song I suppose audacity could do this task but this is so straightforward and the whole portability thing Very nice                 Love this app

This program is very good for learning those tricky solos its so much easier than what I used to use windows media player the loop function helps and the touching along the wavelength part is very convenient and easy The Only thing I can see this app needing is a pan so you can go left or right speaker for those songs rich in harmonies its hard to figure out when you hear them all at once which guitarist is playing what Id suggest adding that and maybe a mid canceller but the pan is more important I think Otherwise I think this is great EDIT now I see why there is no pan you can only hear one guitar part              great music learning app

Im a huge Dream Theater fan and trying to learn Petruccis guitar solos is near impossible to do at full speed This app is the perfect tool for learning those tricky licks that crazy guitarists like John Petrucci and Paul Gilbert throw out The only complaint I have about the app is that its very hard to control there is no play button you have to touch the sound waves to get it to play which will cause the song to play right where you touchedand its tough to be accurate with it That also makes it quite difficult to find right where the solos begin A playpause button and a sliding function to place the blue bar that marks where the audio starts would make this a 5 star app Fix the controls guys Youve got a potential 5 star app here I give it 3 stars until the controls are updated           Awesome app for soloists

This app does exactly what I was hoping it would do and theres no way I would have been able to transcribe Hendrixs Red House without it Unfortunately there isnt automatic access to the iTunes library which Im guessing is a limitation imposed by Apple however importing songs into iHearIt is easy enough                 Very helpful for transcribing music
