Mercury Web Browser - with powerful AdBlock extensions

Mercury used to be a great browser but the developer changed Ad Block to a paypermonth service that is billed annually Even if I was willing to pay 24year on top of the 5 that I paid for the premium version of the browser Im worried that Ill lose support eventually since the developer let hisher accreditation with Apple lapse a few months ago and the app disappeared from the App Store Very troubling Ive switched to iCab Mobile and it blocks ads without the monthly subscription Im not affiliated with the developer     Used to be Great but

Very quick switching between tabs and theyre easy to click onopen none of that recordalbum flipping BS you get in SafariI feel like youve gotta be John Cusack in Being John Malkovich to navigate those tabs effectively and who has time for marionette school Maybe me now that I have Mercurys quick tab navigation system and could sort through several tutorials at once but thats beside the point Also Chrome whats with the sideswiping card system Keep it simple Let me see the top half of the page and let me scroll without accidentally swiping tabs away Mercurys got it down Also integrates with LastPass for greater convenience and security if you were using the same pw for everything to save space in your brain Supposedly integrates with Evernote which is hypothetically pretty useful Incognito mode works greatit actually closes all your tabs so theres no forgetting you left sensitive stuff open that your friends gonna find when they google something on your phone Has this feature that autistic ally opens a URL if that was the last thin in your clipboard making it easy to circumvent Apples hegemonic implementation of the clearly inferior Safari did I mention Mercury has reader mode too I wish I had some complaints so this doesnt sound like a sponsored reviewIll have to try some rarer use cases because it looks so far like they totally nailed all the basics                 This mobile browser has the most efficiency hacks of any

Used to be the best browser on the App Store now all their features are behind a paywall     What happened to the old version

I have an iPad from April 2012 withe 32 gig and uptodate software Have 25 gig free memory As soon as I start safari the iPad noticeably slows Safari stops working and the device locks up frequently even with only one or two tabs open Genius Bar couldnt help except to see a full reinstall might help No way Installed and used Mercury with 10 to 20 open tabs and no similar problem Now if I could only find a hack or App that would switch my default browser from Safari to Mercury then things will be close to perfect I dont use Mercurys adblock Dont know if it is worth the cost                 Much better memory use than Safari

Used Mercury for several years in fact it is my primary Ive tried several many other net browsers that have better reviews but always come back to Mercury                 DELETE

Todays news says that the Mercury browser was compiled with the infected xcode Is this true And if so why is this still here           Is the Mercury browser infected

Ive tried every single browser in the App Store and this is the winner Without a doubt the best browser on multiple levels It allows true tabbed browsing full desktop site user agent downloads file manager built in search in page uses google suggestions SYNCS WITH CHROME BOOKMARKS Honestly its so perfect I just hope they keep making it and dont change anything This browser also feels exceedingly fast compared to Safari and Chrome One small caveat is that the most recent update borked the adblocker which is kindof disappointing but at least the rest of the browser remains awesome still Really there are so many positives the adblocker isnt too big of a deal to me                 The best phone browser

Mercury got everything right From copy and paste to image downloads I now need to make it default on an iPhone 6 Safari used to be good but it cant do half of what Mercury can Kudos to the team                 Safari who Wish I could make this default

Overall I really enjoy Mercury Its Adless and doesnt crash nearly as much as chrome did It will crash from time to time which is frustrating but to be expected with any browser on mobile              Overall good but a few bothers

Cheating bait and switch developer Previous PRO purchase included ad blocking but after update the New release removed ad blocking and then readded the feature as a 2 monthly subscription fee Would rate 10 if possible Total scam     Dishonest ripoff developer

Mercury has all kinds of storage for every file that I need And now with their new update Cloud Storage I can access all my school work papers and files anywhere on any device Its amazing and Ive downloaded it in both my iPad and Galaxy Phone Better than Safari                 Everything You Need in a Browser

I have used this great app since the iPhone 4 and I love it There is one feature I wish the devs would add When pressing a hyperlink to get a new tab I wish I could see the URL that link is pointing to Sometimes embedded links point to ads or erroneous pages so it would be nice to see where they go before getting bombarded with crappy apps or even malwareTrojans                 Great but for One Thing

I am big fan of mercury browser because its very fast and easy to navigate but now I hate this new version after update Its very annoying to open and close new tabs Even sleep is not like before Bottom menu is difficult to understand and annoying too I hope they come back with old style of opening new tab from top           I hate new version

Mercury used to be my favourite iOS browser but no longer Between charging an outrageous subscription service for AdBlock to people who already paid for the thing and all the other shady things Ive been hearing this one is going on my Never Again list Very disappointed     Screw this BS

Anything involving display of pictures or video will lead to extremely frequent crashes or hangs that require the app be manually stopped and restarted About 20 of these crashed cause all my tabs to not be reloaded and for the app to restart with only one empty tab     Awful mess that crashes all the time

As others have noted app was taken over by a different developer who does not respond to anything paid features are now a recurring inapp purchase was reportedly infected with XcodeGhost malware no update     Copy of other review because there are still two entries in the App Store

The long press to open a new tab doesnt work It makes this pretty much useless till its fixed Try chrome maybe     Its broken

This app used to be the best web browser on iOS but now someone took it over and turned it into a scam app Beware Dont download it People paid for the pro app already which included a perfect ad blocker but now theyve updated it so the ad blocker costs an additional 2 bucks each month Thats crazy scammy and scummy     SCAM

I like safari and all but just the fact that theres an Adblock feature on this browser makes me fall in love with it and it has a good design and layout I recommend this                 Screw safari this is way better

I used to love using this browser that seemed much better than Safari and had more options It did what I wanted it to do and was convenient However now that Adblock isnt free and the premium version is so pricy I cant support this app anymore I dont recommend it I am currently using Cheetah web browser and heard Atomic was good Or even stick to Safari I wish I paid more attention to the negative reviews     Adblock Should be FREE
