MobileNoter SE

I had the original MobileNoter but it ceased working for me more than a year ago and Support could never find an answer I have a lot of Notebooks and some are LARGE and I think it was just too much it would crash every time I did a sync Been using Microsofts app but it doessnt store the files locally so they are only available with an Internet connection Just took a chance on this and it works great so far I did add the Notebooks a few at a time and it does take a little time to do the sync but not bad Im looking forward to getting the iPad version when my iPad Mini arrives later this week Do note it ONLY works with OneNote 2010                 Thanks

Installed MobileNoter SE zipped a Onenote notebook added it to iTunes in the MobileNoter app section selected that notebook on my iPhone in MobileNoter SE for iTunes synchronization it downloaded the notebook said notebooks indexing etc When it completed the notebook is on the list in MobileNoter SE under the default Quick Start Guide one but it shows it as Unsynchronized OneNote Note No data in it No matter what gyrations I try So pretty much doesnt do anything for me     Doesnt work

Wouldnt sync an existing notebook for some reason Copypasting a subset into a new notebook allowed me to get access to what I needed though One star off for that No complaints besides that though Handy app Using office 2010 and iP4 with Dropbox Sync appeared to complete but the notebook status remained Unsynchronized No visible error messages and no error logs sent to email              Pretty useful after getting sync to work

Crashes on sync all the time How about an update or have you abandoned the app No updates in 9 months Really     Bad So far

I use OneNote for my GTD system and general organizing As such I want access to my notes mobilely and I want to be able to edit them Of course nowadays MS offers all that on their own OneNote app What it doesnt offer is the ability to view and organize your Tags Tags provide the essential element of Contexts for use with my organizing system Without them Im missing a central part of getting things done while out and about As Mobile Noter SE offers the use of them I use it No one else offers this option You definitley need to know what youre getting into and work with its limitations It ONLY works with OneNote 2010 IMO you need to use it ONLY with Dropbox as there are clear issues with using it and SkyDrive You also need to make sure you close OneNote on your primary device before using it on the phone or on another device as youll get duplicate errors if youve left a note open that youve altered on your phone Dropbox doesnt sync the way Sky Drive does So in the end if you want to use Tags and OneNote as your organizing tool this is the app to use But dont try and use OneNote 2013 and Skydrive with this app or youll have problems They say as much about compatability in their listing Its got limitations but it does what it does well              Does well if you know its limits and it has Tags

I really wanted a reliable way to have my OneNote noted on my phone and a better way to edit them on the go I use OneNote for all my school notes and end up dragging around my 5 pound laptop everywhere The dream of just using a Bluetooth keyboard with my phone and ditching my laptop drove me to buy this app My chief complaint with the Microsoft app is that it doesnt maintain the format of my outlines or support text formatting I got MobileNoter as a way to get around those issues and was intrigued that it synced over my SkyDrive Unfortunately MobileNoter doesnt support different outline headers beyond numbers no letters or Roman numerals so that didnt work Furthermore most of my notes cant be opened by the app because theyre in OneNote 2013 format If these issues can be fixed in an update this app would become the most useful app on my phone        Hopefully some updates are on the way

Regular mobile noter works wonderfully but syncing with PC is a pain Was excited to learn about this version that syncs directly with Dropbox The initial sync took forever but I woke up excited that I had found a solution to taking my notes with me Much to my dismay every single note in all of my notebooks simply says this note is in onenote 2007 format Hope you guys can fix this Ive been a loyal customer since I had an iPhone 3 So far totally useless     Very Dissappointed

Everything seemed fine the preview notebook had my hyped that this would be an awesome onenote client Then i synced my notebooks from skydrive and all my notebooks were incompatible due it being in onenote 2013 format Why even bother with skydrive support when you dont support the only version of onenote that actually syncs with skydrive     Are you kidding me

I have contacted them multiple times over several weeks and they dont respond     Bad support

I bought the SE version to open one note files from Dropbox and also sync one note files It doesnt do either task It maybe loads some files from one note but I have yet to successfully open any I want a refund but not sure if 299 is worth the time I was hoping to switch from the one note app because it is slow as ice and I cant open files from Dropbox easily I hope Dropbox can build in a one note viewer     Quite bad

Just downloaded the app Will not sync pages on the SkyDrive at all See them and has workbooks but no pages If I use DropBox it does sync the pages but the handwriting INK is hit and miss I put a page with all handwriting title and two INK sections The title is converted to text in oneNote and shows correct on the app when you open it though it is OBJOBJOBJ the first INK field is the same OBJOBJ the second is the ink shown as a picture I added ink in the page and synced with dropbox and the ink appeared in the OneNote Application Can not wait for the updates to this to work out the early cinks           Almost
